Getting Categories to show excerpt only

Edit - Ignore my first question, I worked it out !

Excuse my ignorance, i'm a website coding newbie.

Oh and one more thing, when I click a categorie it goes to a page with every post for that categorie in full. Is there a way of showing the excerpt only on the categorie pages?
