Need design idea to make this look better

Hi all
I love SP but have Profit Theme installed in a subfolder for my membership

The main site/blog is built with Balance theme in Green. Nice and clean and fresh looking. So I want to emulate that as far as possible with Profit Theme for the membership.

Trouble is, it isn't my lovely SP. The drop down menus are not looking good and as I'm not a designer I just wondered what your thoughts are on how to make those look better??

I'm guessing I could just change the drop down menu css styling/color (need a bit of guidance) but to what color?
