adsense on the home page

how can i have the adsense ad spot 300x250 on the home page be my own ad, but for the rest of the pages of the site to be the adsense ads. I would like to do this because google adsense often cannot pick up the right content on the homepage and it is always public service ads displayed. So i would like to change the ad spot for the 300x250 ad ONLY on the home page.

Can anyone please tell me how i can do that?
