First, I love the trend toward responsive designs by Studiopress.
That said, I'm developing an image-heavy, magazine-style site that will include lengthy event listings. For mobile phone users, I think it might make sense to use a mobile plug-in and point them toward the event listings, which would likely be the information they need when on the that type of device. This would be in lieu of a responsive site. My thought is that if I just use one of the responsive themes, all of the image data will be passed along, even though that likely won't be the most important information for a mobile user, and it would slow load times. Thoughts? |
