Now I am getting this message when I try to upload a photo from the "add an image" area on the editor
<Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads/2009/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?>
Typically I have seen this message on other blogsites when the file has not been created or the file permissions are not set correctly.
I checked my server and the file permissions are all set at 777. The files do exist on the server.
FYI, previous to these current issues, I was able to create this site, add at least a dozen photos with no problem.
The problem began when I tried to add a photo to the "about" page. Yesterday I wasn't able to upload an image, but a friend who helps me was. The issue then wasn't the same as today. The file path was not following the wp-content/uploads. After my friend uploaded the photo from his computer, this new issue developed for me .
This morning I checked another computer thinking maybe a Microsoft upgrade screwed something up on this computer. My results were the same (error message).
I then reinstalled the theme. Same results.
I then reinstalled WP. no change.
What am I missing folks?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!
