A/B and multivariate testing?

Has anyone here done any A/B or multivariate testing of the Lifestyle homepage using Google's Website Optimizer? I'm wondering if there is a plug-in or easy step-by-step to accomplishing this.

I'm currently a slightly modified version of the standard Lifestyle layout, but I'm wondering if it would be more effective to simply list all posts in chronologicial order (with thumbnails), rather than having different sections for each category.

But I'd like to test with Website Optimizer. Anyone tried this?
