Default Activate Theme = get 404 Error

I've followed the Genesis Framework instructions 5 times with the same result.

- Install Genesis theme through Wordpress
- Install Eleven40 theme through Wordpress
- Activate Eleven40
- go to the URL http://www.wildercolorado.com/blog-new/
- Get 404 error

NOTES:
- I installed the instance for wordpress in a sub-folder under "public_html" called "blog-new"
- Once I get the 404 error, I delete the Genesis and Eleven40 folders inside the "themes" directory folder. Re-install everything, try again, same 404 error results.

Baffled and need help! First experience with StudioPress ...
