seo - h1 and no-follow

seo - h1 and no-follow

I noticed that the post titles of those displayed on the homepage are H1 and no-follow. Should they not be h2? This means that, with the home page title in h1 and 3 posts there are 4 h1 tags on the home page. Also, would it be better if they were NOT no-follow - do we not want search engines to follow them into our site?
