I am working on developing a theme from scratch, and the main homepage content area is a single sidebar, which contains 5 instances of the Genesis - Featured Page widget. I have a custom divider HTML structure that I would like to insert between the pages, preferably without having an equal number of HTML block widgets between the Featured Page widgets.
In my functions.php file, I have the function mp_get_divider() defined, and I am attemping to use add_action( 'genesis_before_entry', 'mp_get_divider' ); Unfortunately, this does not do anything on the site. When I change the hook to elsewhere in the page, for example, genesis_header, the content outputs correctly, but when I use any hooks related to entry, the HTML does not appear in the DOM.
Does the Genesis - Featured Page widget have different rules pertaining to the entry hooks? Or is there something obvious I'm overlooking?

Any reason you can't add another widget in the same widget area before the featured widget?
April 4, 2017 at 5:09 pm #204290mp_alexsMemberThanks for your reply! Right now the project is in a local development environment, but I can get it up on a staging server tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, the reason I can't add another widget in the same widget area before or after the featured widget is the project specs. This project is designed to be a single-page website, but in between the different sections, the website will have a version of their logo with a colored background. This divider logo's background will be generated when the page loads, rather than being hardcoded in. If I can keep to the project specs, I would love to be able to. I have the code ready for my calculated colors, but the divider div with the logo just is not outputting in the above mentioned situation.

I have included screenshots of the code I referenced on that staging site as well.
April 6, 2017 at 8:14 am #204388mp_alexsMemberIn the interest of avoiding the dreaded duplicate post, I will post my question again here:
I am building a theme that displays multiple posts / pages on the homepage. I have a sidebar in place that take either the Genesis - Featured Posts widget or multiple instances of the Genesis - Featured Page widget. I need to add my logo into the header of each of the Featured Page widgets or each of the Featured Posts.
Any tips on how to do that? As it stands, the add_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'mp_function' ) I've been using has not been working the way I want it to.
Thank you!
April 7, 2017 at 8:52 am #204432mp_alexsMemberI have not yet found a resolution to this issue. Any input would be helpful. Again, the website in question is http://stagingvps.marathonwp.com/
Thank you. If I find a resolution, I will post it, otherwise, I will keep this thread up to date.
