Hi,
My site cannot show some posts & category pages after I upgrade to Genesis 2.4.2
I just see some strange characters as you can see at this page:http://kirmizitilki.com/2017/01/27/darwinden-150-yil-once-turleri-cizen-kadin/
If I change just the address of the post it displays properly, but this is not a solution for me since all of my posts are listed in facebook etc.
I use News Pro theme and WordPress 4.6.3
I deactivated all plug-ins and it is still the same. Thanks for the help
http://www.kirmizitilki.comFebruary 10, 2017 at 7:02 am #200905Victor FontModeratorI've never seen anything like this before unless a website was hacked. An upgrade to Genesis 2.4.2 shouldn't do this. What happens when you change to one of the WordPress default themes?

Have you requested your free website audit yet?February 10, 2017 at 7:08 am #200907olaMemberhi victor,
problem goes on even I changed the them.
but it all started with upgrade to 2.4.2February 10, 2017 at 2:37 pm #200932Victor FontModeratorI think the upgrade to Genesis and the start of the problem is coincidental. I doubt that it is related. Genesis does not alter content in any way. If you changed to the other theme and the content is still a mess, it would appear that you may be a victim of the content injection hack that has already infected over 1,.5 million sites. https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2017/02/rapid-growth-in-rest-api-defacements/?utm_source=list&utm_campaign=021017&utm_medium=email
This hack exploits a vulnerability in the WordPress REST API. The exploit was fixed in Version 4.7.2. Because you are on 4.6.3, your site is vulnerable.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?February 13, 2017 at 8:12 am #201041olaMemberSince we lost lots of traffic during these days, Finally I had to roll back to old version of Genesis.
Now, to reach a conclusion I’d like share some more info :1 - Problem was occurring in the first attempt of loading any page. When we reload the page it was coming without any issue. (First load, nonsense character sets, second load normal page look.)
2 - It cannot be a virus since we already have Wordfence plugin against virus and hackes.
3 - What we receive in our error log is :PHP Warning: PHP Startup: SourceGuardian: Unable to initialize module
Module compiled with module API=20060613
PHP compiled with module API=200906264 - Our system default PHP version is 5.4
Now we have some doubts, it was maybe because of PHP incompatibility.
February 13, 2017 at 8:36 am #201043Victor FontModeratorThis error occurs at the Apache level even before your site is loaded. It's a server level error, not a site error. It indicates that you updated your PHP version, but not the SourceGuardian extension it is attempting to load. The fix is to install the proper SourceGuardian extension for your PHP version.
