Is it possible to change the colors on the menu to dark blue instead of black/gray? Also, Is it possible to roll over the menu titles and change the colors as they roll over? Not sure what to change in the CSS for that.
I have a few other questions related to customizing this theme if anyone can assist. Thanks.
PS - I want to roll over the page titles so they also change color.
http://69.195.124.100/~kinserba/company-profile/May 13, 2013 at 6:39 pm #40766colsonKeymasterThe background for the navigation is an image so you could make a new image or you could just have a color there instead. You need to go to the css that starts on line 377 for the #nav you can change the background image or color .
May 15, 2013 at 10:45 am #41036korachMemberHow do you indicate line 377? Should I use Firebug? I'm using Safari and do not see line #'s.
May 15, 2013 at 10:51 am #41039colsonKeymasterWith Firebug you can see the line numbers but it is just a little ways down on the style sheet. You will see #nav and there you can change the image or you can delete the image and just have a background color.
May 15, 2013 at 10:51 am #41041korachMemberAnother question - in the Corporate Theme, how do I change the PAGE TITLE colors so they aren't black? I'm not sure where that is in the CSS.
Basically the 2 problems I am having is changing the colors of the Menu Titles & Page Titles which are kind of intertwined together. Someone above already answered about the Navigation bar, but I am trying to change the colors of the words, so when you roll over they turn blue for example, also the page titles themselves for each category so they are light blue instead of black.
May 15, 2013 at 11:01 am #41043colsonKeymasterFor the page title they are pulling from here:
h1, h2, h2 a, h2 a:visited {}
right now it has color:#222222 you can change that to what you want
For your navigation add this to the css:
#nav .wrap li a:hover {
color: #color you want here;

#nav .wrap li a:hover {
color: #color you want here;
}Where do I add it specifically?
May 15, 2013 at 11:30 am #41045korachMemberNothing happens when I change things in the CSS file. Everything stay exactly how it was before.
May 15, 2013 at 11:47 am #41048colsonKeymastercan you paste what you put exactly in your css file
May 15, 2013 at 11:48 am #41049korachMemberYes, but I pasted it in the CSS file, reloaded the page, and the colors are still exactly the same. Nothing changed.
May 15, 2013 at 12:24 pm #41052colsonKeymasterI am not seeing it in your css file when I look with firebug. Are you sure you saved it.
May 15, 2013 at 2:46 pm #41067korachMemberI don't want to change the body text, just the title "Company Profile" I want to change. I don't see anything in the CSS that allows me to change it.
Should I paste this code in the "editor" in Word Press, or somewhere else? I'm not using firebug to paste anything.
May 15, 2013 at 2:56 pm #41069colsonKeymasteryou can paste this into your css file and put the color you want:
h1.entry-title {
color: #colorYouWant;
}May 15, 2013 at 2:59 pm #41070korachMemberWhere should it be pasted specifically?
May 15, 2013 at 3:07 pm #41073colsonKeymasterSorry I was not more specific for you.
go to your dashboard>appearance>editor
Makes sure you have the stylesheet selected you will see choices on the right side.
Go to the bottom of the stylesheet and paste it there that way you can find it easy if you need to change it.
Then save your changes.
May 17, 2013 at 12:54 pm #41413AnitaKeymasterIn regards to this post and the subsequent one you added regarding the same issue - http://www.studiopress.community/topic/corporate-theme-need-help/.
1.) In order to see Line number in your Style.css - you should install Notepad++ which is a free application. You can copy and paste your Style.css over in there which will provide you with the appropriate places to change your colors.
2) If you are making changes to your Style.css file and they are not saving or showing up - there could be a plugin that is preventing this was happening. Do you have any Caching plugins installed such as W3 Total Cache or something else? There are settings called "Minify" and if they are active - no changes will occur to your website. You need to turn that off.
The information they gave you is correct - you need to find the issue with why your changes are not occuring.

May 17, 2013 at 1:06 pm #41415korachMemberI don't believe Notepad++ works for a Mac. What is a better alternative for Mac OS?
I do not have anything installed on my MAC such as W3 Total Cache.
What I do know is that if I do as the other poster instructed, paste the code at the bottom of the CSS file,
nothing happens when I refresh the site, no color changes, nothing. However, I am able to change Google Fonts.
May 17, 2013 at 1:09 pm #41417korachMemberActually, I checked FireFox and the Footer color is white, on Safari it's dark grey???
