Hi!
New here…
I'm trying to get my featured images inside each blog post, under the title. Right now I only see them on my index.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Right now I'm working on the site locally, but it works just like the demo:

I need a way to make the featured image appear automatically under the blog post title, like this:
http://demo.studiopress.com/metro/featured-story-3/
Thanks agains!
June 26, 2013 at 2:25 pm #47838RobGMemberThere should be an option when you're in your WordPress editor to add a feature image to your post. You will need to upload that image of your choice in to your media library and set it as your featured image for that post.
Hope this helps.

Thank you

June 26, 2013 at 3:03 pm #47857Brad DaltonParticipantPlease copy this code from the view raw link and paste it at the end of your child themes functions.php file using a text editor.
You can change the conditional tag in the code if needed.
Note: The code uses the old XHTML loop hooks
June 26, 2013 at 4:11 pm #47868RobGMemberHi Brad should this already be in his theme? I would think he would be able to set the featured image with the metro theme.

Most themes don't include this feature however some do.
The Metro theme he is using doesn't.
He wants the featured image displayed on single posts after the post title which is what the code does.
He could insert the image manually on all posts or use the code to do it automatically.
The code enables the user to have more control over the featured post image on single posts as it includes a conditional tag, hook and div class for adding styling in the child themes style.css file rather than inline.
This provides more control for positioning in different locations and control over which posts in specific categories the image displays. Far more powerful than simply inserting an image manually.

Somewhat frustrating as this is not mentioned when you purchase or choose the theme.
So Thanks!
