2) when I choose read more the image is very big.
3)when I choose the category button at botton of post , it looks perfect and is what I want for the other 2 above.thanks for any code changes that would help me fix
1) http://realestateradio.tv/industry-interviews/ no image ? but I have chosen a featured image in post ?
http://realestateradio.tv/industry-interviews/
2)http://realestateradio.tv/test-page/#more-282 now image shows up but to big.
3)http://realestateradio.tv/category/uncategorized/ This is what I wantApril 27, 2014 at 10:11 am #102596nunotmpMemberMake sure you are setting the proper settings under the genesis theme settings. The image that is dispalying on the page linked above are not a featured image and instead just an image inserted into the post. Under your genesis theme settings make sure that " Include the Featured Image?" is checked under content archives.
April 27, 2014 at 10:26 am #102603realestateradioMemberHi nunottmp,
The image is from the edit post > Featured Image on right bar
I used code in feature.php to drop it into content area,
not sure where content archives is , ?
thanks
April 27, 2014 at 10:37 am #102609nunotmpMemberMaybe this graphic will help you http://awesomescreenshot.com/0d62pusiee
make sure the box is checked.
April 27, 2014 at 10:46 am #102613realestateradioMemberOk a little closer,
That is the option for the page I like.
I just added this code to funtions php which added the image in all three pages I referenced above but the are all 300x300 I think and not on the right.
am I closer.
function InsertFeaturedImage($content) {
global $post;
$original_content = $content;
if ( current_theme_supports( 'post-thumbnails' ) ) {
if ((is_page()) || (is_single())) {
$content = the_post_thumbnail('page-single');
$content .= $original_content;
} else {
$content = the_post_thumbnail('index-categories');
$content .= $original_content;
}}
return $content;
}add_filter( 'the_content', 'InsertFeaturedImage' );
April 27, 2014 at 10:51 am #102616nunotmpMemberThe image sizes are referenced in the
the_post_thumbnail
function. Try changingpage-single
to$content = the_post_thumbnail(‘thumbnail’);
April 27, 2014 at 11:03 am #102618realestateradioMemberI didn't see any changes,
Ill delete that code and the code I added ,
April 27, 2014 at 11:08 am #102621realestateradioMemberThis is what I was hoping for,
http://realestateradio.tv/category/uncategorized/
Is there code to just add image to post page
and float left
April 27, 2014 at 11:09 am #102622nunotmpMemberTo get the result you want you really shouldn't need any code. The graphic above did not help?
April 27, 2014 at 11:17 am #102623realestateradioMemberI followed your graphic, (thanks) It was checked and had the image set to 150x150
which is right for this page
http://realestateradio.tv/category/uncategorized/ (This what I would like the other 2 below to look like)
http://realestateradio.tv/industry-interviews/ no image
http://realestateradio.tv/test-page/#more-282 this is to big
Im sure im close
April 27, 2014 at 11:24 am #102624nunotmpMemberHow are you displaying your interviews? Is this a custom post type? I see it is not an archive page.
April 27, 2014 at 11:29 am #102625realestateradioMemberWhen I go live the interviews will be on home page (as posts) I will remove static mission page
April 27, 2014 at 11:31 am #102626realestateradioMemberIm wanting the post page , single post page and archive looks to match 🙂
April 27, 2014 at 12:09 pm #102627SummerMemberWhat happens if you create a category called "Industry Interviews", put those interview posts in that category, then visit http://realestateradio.tv/category/industry-interviews/ ?
Seems like that's the simplest solution to what you want to achieve, especially since you say you're using test pages (which are not going to have the same display characteristics as posts without a lot of custom coding) that you're just going to throw out anyway when you go live... seems like you're wanting to create a lot of extra coding that you're not going to end up using at all?
