Hey Everyone!
I want to bring up an unresolved problem that's been in the forum for years.
Genesis Responsive Slider doesn't work well on mobile devices.
On the Outreach Pro child theme, it's setup to not show the title and excerpt on mobile devices. But this looks stupid on the phone as it just shows pictures.
Going into Slider Settings>Content Settings and unchecking Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices doesn't change anything.
Ok, fine. Corinne Olsen helped me get it back (thank you). Go into code 2233 of the style.css and remove:
.content #genesis-responsive-slider .flex-direction-nav li .next,
.content #genesis-responsive-slider .flex-direction-nav li .prev,
.content .slide-excerpt {
display: none;
}This gets us the Title, Excerpt and ...Continue Reading. But the font doesn't resize so all that info doesn't fit on 30% of the phone. It overflows off the top as the Excerpt Location is set to Bottom.
I changed the Slider Excerpt width to 45%. This helps get room, but not enough.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Code written that either:
1. changes the font to fit
2. deletes the "Excerpt" and "...Continue Reading" on phones. Just a title with the picture would be fine at this point.This is a standard plugin that's needed for many themes on Studiopress. The company should have a brainstorming session about the issue and come up with a solution. The StudioPress themes that use require this plugin -- like Outreach Pro and Executive Pro -- aren't Mobile responsive.
When someone new comes to one of these sites, the first thing they see after the header is the content from the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin.
This issue has been posted multiple times throughout the years yet remains unresolved. If anyone has a solution please help us.

We're just a bunch of community volunteers. We're end users just like you. We have no influence into any Studio Press programming decisions.
Have you discussed this issue with the plugin developers: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/genesis-responsive-slider.
Since the plugin is open source, perhaps you may consider contributing your skills to its development? The source code is readily available in the WordPress repository. You can make changes to the source and then submit pull requests to the authors. You would be included as a contributing developer on the plugin page. I'm certain they would appreciate your help.

Victor
