Have you noticed slower image load times in Safari vs. Firefox?

I have a large image file I'll edit down to an acceptable size, but for now it loads slowly in Safari.

However, when I pulled up the site in Firefox, it loaded noticeably faster. I just cleared the cache and loaded it for the first time in Firefox.

Have you ever noticed any difference in load times in different browsers?

The site is in maintenance mode, so just in general.
