I normally use Streamline, but for this particular site I'm trying this 411 Pro Theme. Having 2 issues... The site right now is at http://www.nikkiglaser.com/site
1. The background on a mobile phone doesn't look good. So I figured I'd delete the mobile code I found in functions.php. It got rid of the mobile "look" but for some reason on my iphone it puts the content right down the center, right over the background image, rather than to the left of it... Seems like there's not enough room.... Until I zoom in, then it separates the content from the background like it is on the computer browsers. I'd really like it to just show up like it does on the web. Or show up mobile with a different background then on the web, since it's a picture of the person and it's covering her with content on the mobile.
2. I used to be able to add this code to the functions.php in Streamline and change the footer text. Doesn't seem to change anything in this new theme... Can I do it a different way? Haven't tried the hooks ever... Always preferred using code like this from streamline that worked... `//* Add viewport meta tag for mobile browsers
add_theme_support( 'genesis-responsive-viewport' );`
Thanks!
February 8, 2014 at 4:05 pm #89387kilerbMemberI realized why the mobile version still looks bad after taking the viewport meta tag out of functions.php. When the browser window is too small, everything scrunches together. Which is fine when you make the browser window too small, but how can we make it so it's zoomed all the way out on mobile devices? Or make it so it zooms in and doesn't scrunch everything together... Is that possible?
Also, I just realized I put the remove mobile code above in section 2,
(which should have been pasted for question 1...) When the code for question 2 should have been this...// Custom Footer add_filter('genesis_footer_creds_text', 'footer_creds_filter'); function footer_creds_filter($creds) { $creds = 'Copyright [footer_copyright] · MyWebsite.com - Site by: <a href="http://www.WeMakeSites.com">We Make Sites</a>'; return $creds; }
February 15, 2014 at 1:41 pm #90523kilerbMemberHi... has the system here changed? All my questions used to be answered within hours. Did they remove the employees and make this just a community forum where we hope someone in the community can help? Or am I being a baby and not waiting long enough?
February 23, 2014 at 4:39 pm #92054kilerbMemberCan someone at least tell me why nobody is replying? Forum changes? Anything? You guys used to be right on top of posts. Are these 2 questions not applicable? Can someone at least tell me something? Nothing worse than being ignored. Is it a community thing without studiopress employees now? Someone?
March 10, 2014 at 3:40 pm #94208kilerbMemberReally? For the first time in 4 years, I'm annoyed that I bought your full package. You guys have really slipped with customer support. You used to answer all questions, and when you couldn't, you would at least let the individual know. Now it's just radio silence? Really frustrating.
