Just wondering if anybody can help on how I can set the front page of my website to show the full blog posts (at least 3 posts)?
Here's the website http://serendipity-corner.com
I'm happy with how the blog is showing on the rest of the pages but would really want to have the front page to be with the full post content.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Cheers

May 20, 2013 at 7:00 am #41817cyle11MemberThanks! but that changes all the other blog layout that I have on the other pages. For example, if you go to the Real Wedding page, the blog layout is ok as it is. Is there a way to have a separate blog layout for the home page?
May 20, 2013 at 7:04 am #41819cyle11MemberI'm hoping to achieve the same as this website for the blog bit
http://www.lovewedbliss.com/You can see the homepage as full blog posts and then when you click on Wedding Inspiration, you'll find that the blog layout is different.
May 20, 2013 at 7:22 am #41821AnitaKeymasterOn your site, is that a static post? I cannot tell what them you are using for your site. Which one is it so I can help you.

May 20, 2013 at 9:28 am #41834AnitaKeymasterBut is it a static page or is that the Featured Posts widget?

May 21, 2013 at 5:26 am #42005cyle11MemberIt's not a widget or static page. just the normal one. I only put the widgets on the sidebar. (sorry for my late reply. time difference)
May 21, 2013 at 5:43 am #42008cyle11MemberAll I really need to know is how to make the homepage to show full recent posts and keep the other pages to show just the excerpts with featured image the way they currently are on my website.
Cheers
May 21, 2013 at 6:24 am #42014AnitaKeymasterI know what you need however - I needed to know if you were using a widget or if you are using a static page, which you are using the default. But I don't know the default of what theme - what was the default theme that your website is built off of and I can take a look at the functions to tell you how to do it.

May 21, 2013 at 6:35 am #42016cyle11MemberOh sorry, I didn't understand the question. It's Crystal theme
May 21, 2013 at 6:52 am #42019AnitaKeymasterThe only way to do this with Crystal is to drag over the Featured Posts widget into the Home Bottom. Then select to show Full Content. That's the only way to do it on the home without changing it on all the other Blog Archive pages.

May 22, 2013 at 5:04 am #42171cyle11Memberthank you but it won't work because I have modified the home.php by replacing the home-bottoms with this code:
<div id="content">
<?php genesis_standard_loop(); ?>
</div>May 22, 2013 at 6:58 am #42190AnitaKeymasterWell, I am not a front-end coder, but I can hack it. Looking at say.... the Eleven40 theme... this controls what's on the front:
if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) { genesis_grid_loop( array( 'features' => 1, 'feature_image_size' => 0, 'feature_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image', 'feature_content_limit' => 0, 'grid_image_size' => 'grid-thumbnail', 'grid_image_class' => 'alignnone', 'grid_content_limit' => 250, 'more' => __( '[Continue reading]', 'genesis' ), ) );
So looking at this, I think you can add in this. To control the number pf posts - change 1 to 3. If you want a featured image - add the featured image size in there and to your functions, and then you can set your content limit. I don't think you need the "grid" code since you want full. But maybe this is a start.
