Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing stellar! I have quick question about uploading a child theme.
I am currently building my site and a good ways into it. I want to customize the main nav background color and in order to do that I need to upload the (sample theme) child theme to make those changes. If I upload the child theme zip and activate it will it break my site? I downloaded the zip file of the sample child theme from SP (here) what files should I upload as it contains a snapshot.png and a few other images that are not required for the customization. Thanks in advance!
A budding Genisis Lover!

Snapshot.png is used by the WordPress theme chooser to show a sample image of the child theme. Install a child theme with all of the supplied files.

I am actually making changes using Beaver Builder and Genisis Dambuster. I want to keep the Main Nav so I turned it back on in the Dambuster editor so I can use menu plugins. I want to change the background color of the Main Nav and need to install the child theme to make those manual changes so I don't chang the framework directly. So, with that knowledge, if I upload the child theme and activate it and only turn theain Nav on in the Dambuster would my site break or could I just edit the CSS for the Nav and move on?
May 29, 2016 at 11:09 am #186464Victor FontModeratorIf you are using Beaver Builder and Genesis Dambuster without a child theme, you've already started down the wrong path. I have know idea what will happen if you install a child theme after the fact, but I suspect that there won't be any impact at all since Beaver Builder works on content. Since neither of these tools are Studio Press or Genesis related, you may be better off asking your questions in their forums.

I never changed any code. I just used Beaver Builder and Dambuster. Would you recommend I uninstall the framework and reupload? Did I do any damage to the framework itself? 🙁
