Tagged: lifestyle Pro, static home pg
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and I'm looking to change my nonresponsive website theme to a responsive one. I know -- I'm behind the times but Google's impending algorithm change has certainly lit a fire under me, and that's a good thing.
I've never used any of the StudioPress themes but I really like the look of Lifestyle Pro. Can anybody tell me if this theme has the option for a static home page and if so, is it easy to do?
Thanks. Happy Easter to everyone celebrating it!
Just to clarify my question: My static homepg right now is a 700 word post and that's how I'd like to keep it. So what I should have asked is if I use the Lifestyle Pro theme, does it have to be a collection of widgets displaying various posts/content or can it be just one post?
Yes, you can change this by going to Dashboard > Settings > Reading
Then set 'Front page displays' to A static page.
It has to be a page though, not a post. so you would just need to create a new page and copy the content into it from your post.
I love helping creative entrepreneurs build epic things with WP & Genesis.
Hey David,
Thanks so much for your reply and that makes total sense because it's basically how I set a static home pg with my current theme. Cheers!
