Hello,
I am new to Studio Press and the Community. Like the themes and setups and has allot to offer. I am using the Lifestyle Pro theme and using my 416 x 103 pixel image as the logo in the header but would like to have the background color white but with the boarder color 20px same as the theme color. Is there a way to achieve this in the CSS or would it be in the PHP file? Any help would be appreciated.Thank You Norm

February 15, 2014 at 2:32 pm #90531AnitaKeymasterIf I am understanding you correctly, you want the header background white (#ffffff) with a border being Red. Locate this in the style.css file.
.lifestyle-pro-red .button, .lifestyle-pro-red .entry-content .button, .lifestyle-pro-red .site-footer, .lifestyle-pro-red .site-header, .lifestyle-pro-red button, .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="button"], .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="reset"], .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="submit"], .lifestyle-pro-red.lifestyle-pro-home .content .widget-title { background-color: #CC0033; }
Replace it with this:
.lifestyle-pro-red .button, .lifestyle-pro-red .entry-content .button, .lifestyle-pro-red .site-footer, .lifestyle-pro-red button, .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="button"], .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="reset"], .lifestyle-pro-red input[type="submit"], .lifestyle-pro-red.lifestyle-pro-home .content .widget-title { background-color: #CC0033; } .lifestyle-pro-red .site-header { background-color: #FFFFFF; border: 1px solid #CC0033; }

February 15, 2014 at 4:43 pm #90541nbrochuMemberHello,
Thank you for responding. I have tried that and it is almost what I was looking for and getting closer on what I was looking for. I think I should have stated white background (#ffffff) a color padding red (#cc0033) of 20px. or margin instead of border 1px solid.Also I checked out your site and I like the border dashed on the themes. Where in the CSS would that be edited? Thanks again for responding....
February 15, 2014 at 7:01 pm #90555AnitaKeymasterYou can change the 1px to 20px which will give you what I think you are looking for.

February 16, 2014 at 3:00 pm #90649nbrochuMemberHello,
Thanks again for responding. This worked pretty much the way I wanted for now. You made it look too easy.The other thing I was also trying to achieve was to have to borders changed on the center posts and right side bar columns. I am trying to achieve a 1px border dotted #cc0033. Is this somewhere in the CSS file or the PHP. Would anyone have an idea for this.

February 16, 2014 at 3:28 pm #90651AnitaKeymasterFor the middle widgets, look for the first line in this code and add the border:
.lifestyle-pro-home .content .widget { border: 1px dotted #CC0033; margin-bottom: 3.2rem; }
Then look for this and change the EEEEE8 to CC0033:
.sidebar .widget { border: 1px solid #EEEEE8; margin-bottom: 3.2rem; padding: 3.2rem; text-align: center; }

February 16, 2014 at 4:24 pm #90658nbrochuMemberHello,
Thank You. Your pretty good at that. Didn't take you long to find that. I have tried that and it worked like I was looking for. It looks like it added it to the Featured #1 and #2 categories boxes with a white space right below. I would like it to those look like the Sign Up button on the right. It also look like it removed the padding off in the content below that. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You NormFebruary 16, 2014 at 4:33 pm #90659AnitaKeymasterYou didn't set up Featured 1 and 2 properly. You need to drag over a Featured Post or Featured Page widget into those area. You've added you text inside a Text widget. If you want to use the Text Widget - you need to add a title to.

http://www.frugaltexasdiva.comFebruary 17, 2014 at 5:53 pm #90871AnitaKeymasterI see the red dots on the content side. Did you place the code for the sidebar?

February 17, 2014 at 6:07 pm #90872teresantxMemberI had to clear my cache but how to I get the dots longer like on yours?
Also do you know how to make my header background white instead of the purple that is showing next to my header graphic?
http://www.frugaltexasdiva.comFebruary 17, 2014 at 6:15 pm #90873teresantxMemberI fixed the header color, just need to know how to make the dots around the widgets look longer instead of just plain dots
February 17, 2014 at 6:28 pm #90874AnitaKeymasterOh, mine are dashes so replace dots with dashed. I've created a new theme based off of mine that I will be offering at the end of the week with some other elements added to it.
