Could someone please explain how I create my homepage to look like the one used as a sample on the studiopress site found here http://demo.studiopress.com/quattro/
I would like to have only one main post at the top being the entire width of the post area and then I would like to have just like the demo site except I would like to have 4 in the lower grid not just three
Help is much appreciated.
Tks

January 30, 2013 at 8:25 pm #16627Daddioof4MemberSoZo I want my site to look like the demo found here http://demo.studiopress.com/quattro/
When you visit that demo page you'll see that their appears to be a grid of sorts for the main page. I just changed the settings on my site to 6 posts instead of 1 and all I get is a long list of posts. I want visitors to see multiple posts in the same way that the demo shows. 1 or 2 posts being the full width 0f the post area and 4 posts displaying under being half the post area...just like the demo in the link. The posts I'm referring to are the posts titled
Sample Post With Image Aligned Left
Sample Post With Image Aligned Right
Sample Post With Image Centered
How do I create that?
January 30, 2013 at 8:30 pm #16630SoZoMemberYep, I know what you mean. Changing the posts per page in the Reading settings shouldn't effect the home page if you have "Front page displays" set to "your latest posts" since the home.php template would be loading.

February 1, 2013 at 2:41 pm #17174ALotofLovesMemberThere was another comment with the same issue. I'm having it as well. No matter how you edit the php, the home page still shows 10 posts. This comment train shows an edit http://www.studiopress.community/topic/change-home-page-grid-layout-quattro-theme/ but I can't get that fix to work. The php shows errors. I'd love a solution!

April 20, 2013 at 6:08 am #36543Honor90MemberI'm having a very similar "issue" with getting my homepage to display like the demo even after trying the FTP route.
I did not edit *anything* as far as files go, as straight out of the box as you can get.
My reading settings are as: "Front page displays" ---> "Your latest posts" ---> "Blog pages show at most" (set to 4)
My only problem is that unlike the demo where the first 2 posts are displayed and cut off after a certain point followed by "read more" my site simply displays the entirety of the first 2 posts.
Here is the exact code currently in the home.php file:
<?php remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' ); add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'quattro_grid_loop_helper' ); /** Add support for Genesis Grid Loop */ function quattro_grid_loop_helper() { if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) { genesis_grid_loop( array( 'features' => 2, 'feature_image_size' => 0, 'feature_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image', 'feature_content_limit' => 0, 'grid_image_size' => 'grid-thumbnail', 'grid_image_class' => 'alignnone', 'grid_content_limit' => 250, 'more' => __( '[Continue reading]', 'genesis' ), 'posts_per_page' => 6, ) ); } else { genesis_standard_loop(); } } genesis();
