Hello,
I just upgraded my wordpress install to 3.5 and I also upgraded Genesis to the latest version. Now the header is gone and is replaced with text. I'm using the Tapestry Child Theme and in the admin area under appearances / header it still shows the header that should be there. Everything seems to be fine but it's not showing. Perhaps something somewhere changed when genesis or wordpress was upgraded. Everything else works fine.
Any idea on how to fix this? I DID open a ticket with studiopress but since the site is live I want to solve this asap. So I'm looking for help here as well.
Thanks,
Daniel

Remove: display text in header
January 24, 2013 at 3:18 pm #14398halestormMemberThe size is exactly the same. The image was there before the upgrade. I tried what you suggested and it still doesn't work. I even tried "restore to original image" and even that didn't show up. Still haven't heard from StudioPress support yet.
January 25, 2013 at 11:32 am #14637halestormMemberIt's resolved. Never heard from Studiopress support and that isn't very good. Anyways the styles got messed up somehow, so we adjusted the styles and got it working.

As of late last night (when I updated Genesis to 1.9.1) - I now have the same exact problem with my website:
What exactly did you have to do to fix the problem? By the way, your site looks nice.
Thanks much for any help you can lend. I also haven't heard from Studiopress Support yet.

Turning on/off minify settings doesn't help, no does disabling all plugins. When I go to Appearance -> Header and try to uncheck the "Show header text with your image," it gets rechecked when I hit the save button.
Removing the Site Title and Tagline in Settings -> General does not bring back the header image either.
I suspect this is a WordPress issue.
My header looks terrible, and need this fix. Would appreciate help as well.

Go to Appearance > Themes
Make sure the "Manage Themes" tab is selected.
Next to your current theme, click the "Customize" link.
Expand "Site Title & Tagline", and uncheck the "Display Header Text" box.
