Are there plans to make the AgentPress child theme mobile responsive? If so, when will the mobile responsive version of AgentPress be available?December 20, 2012 at 6:26 pm #6549
the next version of AgentPress is being developed. In fact there is a LOT going on with AgentPress for 2013. I'm not allowed to say anything yet but I can say that Ricardo Bueno was brought on board because of his extensive experience in the real estate community for a reason.
I dont' have any hard dates but it will be a very nice update when it is done.February 13, 2013 at 12:08 pm #20105
Can't wait for responsive/mobile agentpress and other updates. Any ETA? Feature list?February 13, 2013 at 12:19 pm #20107
A couple of months ago I switched from AgentPress to Eleven40 to get mobile responsiveness. Eleven40 is working great as a real estate website.

DP, could you provide a link to your Eleven40 based real estate website so we could have a look? Thanks!February 13, 2013 at 12:50 pm #20113
Yes, DP would love to see how it's working for you.February 13, 2013 at 1:38 pm #20126This reply has been marked as private.February 13, 2013 at 1:40 pm #20127February 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm #20142
This is a RETS feed from the multiple listing services. It's a wordpress plugin and can work on any wordpress site.
Era-Legacy.com is an example.February 13, 2013 at 3:03 pm #20143
I should have mentioned that SEORETS is not available in every board in the US. However, if an agent can get a broker to request the plugin they frequently move in to the agents board if they have 10-20 agents taht want the plugin.
You do by the way. My site ranks front page for over 1,000 local addresses. Drop IDX. That framed solution will get you zero results. RETS was developed by NAR years ago and never got fully utilized because it hurts ZILLOW, TRULIA, REALTOR.com, HOMES.com in the local search results. SEORETS was a RETS feed developed by a company that does seo for real estate companies.
My entire brokerage is SEO RETS. I am my broker's IT services lolFebruary 13, 2013 at 4:12 pm #20156
I had this as a private reply but for cmueller773 and any others that are interested here it is:
As you will see, it's Eleven40 straight out of the box. Default color and all. I am also using IDX Broker Platinum, which has its own mobile responsive design as well. The two of them work well together, at least for me.

That looks nice DP. I just started a responsive IDX Broker Platinum project today, using a custom child theme, although I'm thinking of not using their mobile solution and just customizing the IDX CSS to make it responsive. I used to live in Hickory by the way 🙂

Thank you for the kind words ED! And I think you are thinking the right thoughts about customizing the mobile wrappers instead of using their standard offering. I have been tinkering with Platinum for about two months now. From your portfolio it appears we share a long-standing appreciation for both IDX Broker and the Genesis framework.

DP, good work with the site.
ED/DP-I just signed up for IDXexpress as it seemed to be the "go to" IDX plugin for AgentPress, and seemed to have a good integration and robust out of the box functionality. Should I be rethinking this move and look at IDX broker? Any significant differences?February 14, 2013 at 8:27 am #20304
cmueller733, I'm not terribly familiar with Diverse Solutions/IDXexpress as I only work with IDX Broker . But Agentpress has built-in CSS styling for dsIDXpress, so depending on your skillset, that might be easiest for you. For me, that has no bearing, as its just a relatively small chunk of CSS I could just write myself. Diverse Solutions vs IDX Broker is a long standing debate (that's been talked about on the old forum a few times) but I started with IDX Broker years ago and I've stuck with it ever since for clients because, for a developer, it gives you a lot of options for customizing and the tech support is very friendly and helpful.
Some people will swear up and down one is better than the other. Or that their lead generation improved after switching from one to the other. I personally think you could build a successful site out of either one just as easily (although building a successful site isn't easy).
