Has anyone had any problems with their widgets taking forever to update or not updating at all?
Here's what I'm experiencing....
I move something like a featured page widget or text widget into a widget area and save it.
Then I go the home page (the page I'm working on) and refresh the page to see the changes but they don't show up.
If I log out then log back in the changes appear.Currently I'm trying to add a text widget to the home #3 widget area and it wont show up at all, whether I log out or not.
I'm stumped as to why this is happening....
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using the latest version of the Enterprise theme.

July 14, 2013 at 2:33 pm #50678MarkAsackerMemberHi Susan!
I really appreciate your help. Here's what I did.
I disabled wp-super cache plug-in but nothing changed.
I logged out and back in....nothing.
I have now completely deleted the caching plug-in....still nothing.

July 14, 2013 at 5:24 pm #50697AnitaKeymasterTry disabling the calendar plugin and also the logo slider plugin that I see in your code.

July 14, 2013 at 5:26 pm #50698AnitaKeymasterAlso, try adding something to all three widget areas.
SoSome of the themes were coded kinda quirky so that if you tried to add something in Widget 3 it wouldn't show up, but if you added something to Widget 1 it would.

This was occurring prior to installing both of the plugins you mentioned however I still disabled the calendar plug-in as well as the logo slider just to rule it out but no luck.
In regards to adding something to the widget areas I have quite a few items in each of the areas already. 5 "featured page" widgets in home middle 1, 5 in home middle 2 and 4 in home middle 3.
In terms of progress on the project I didn't get to the footer widgets yet but since you mentioned quirky coding I figured I'd ad things to see if there were any issues there as well.
When I added a text widget to footer widget #2 it showed up in footer widget #3. Then I added a contact form (using contact form 7 and shortcode) into footer widget #2 and now the text widget in footer widget #3 is no longer appearing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So to recap, my issues are...
1. I currently have 14 "featured page" widgets spread throughout the home middle widgets but anything else I add will not show up or I have to log out then back in to get it to register.
2. When I add something to footer widget #2 it shows up in footer widget #3 and when I add something to footer widget #2 and #3 then footer widget #3 fails to show up.What I've tried based on suggestions....
1. Disable wp-super cache plug-in
2. Disable calendar plug-in
3. Disable logo slider plug-inAll plug-ins remain disable with no change to the issue...
I thank you for your help.
Any other ideas??
Note: I agree that this has to do with some of the coding because I have another clients site built on the enterprise theme and I experience the same issues. Every time I make changes to any of the widgets it takes a looooong time to register and I often have to log out then back in to see the changes. Everything starts out fine but as more widgets get added it starts to break down.
July 14, 2013 at 11:07 pm #50738SusanModeratorI would submit a support ticket - I doesn't sound like your issue is related to some kind of customization - you're looking to add basic theme functionality.
July 14, 2013 at 11:33 pm #50740MarkAsackerMemberThanks Susan, I just did.
I just came back to check the thread to see if there were any other suggestions. But you are correct, just basic functionality no customization.
Thanks for the input Susan. Greatly appreciated.
July 15, 2013 at 3:40 am #50750AnitaKeymasterI would contact you host also bout caching. I had a similar problem with Enterprise and it had to do with the hosts server caching. It was taking all night to clear out. The host did something everything worked fine after that.
