In more than ten days, this topic did not catch anyone's attention. I withdraw my question instead of holding my breath.
ACEkinParticipantI would like to add to my previous comment that going back from Rank Math to Genesis, via Yoast works but only for the Genesis SEO content. If you take it back to Rank Math again, you will need to go over many of your post and page SEO once more.
I should have been clearer.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantI was able to pass the Genesis SEO to Yoast, and Rank Math imported from Yoast no problem. I have also gone in the other direction, Yoast importing from Rank Math and SEO Data Transporter bringing everything back to Genesis.
As I said in my original message, my SEO efforts in Genesis translated to 86/100 in Rank Math. I have gone through updating quite a few posts and pages as an exercise and it moved up to 89. I am now back in Genesis SEO and wondering if there is any real benefit for me in going back to Rank Math. I do not sell or monetize anything on my site. I still get 75-125 visitors a day.
It is very time-consuming work to tweak things in Rank Math or probably in another SEO tool. Even then, when you get caught in improving your score on each post, you do what they tell you to do. For instance, add an external link to something. Lacking anything meaningful, I added links to some related concepts on Wikipedia. Why that is good for my SEO is still dubious in my mind.
That's my take on the matter and I shared it with the makers of RM as well. If you want to improve the site SEO, you need to have a plan, a goal, a market, and then build the pages to meet those.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantI will answer my own question in case others may be looking for a solution. This may not be the most elegant way, but it worked.
- Installed SEO Data Transporter plugin
- Installed Yoast plugin
- Used SEO Data Transporter to move the SEO data to Yoast
- Installed Rank Math while Yoast was active, it warned me to deactivate Yoast which I did
- Using its import feature, I imported SEO data from Yoast
- Deleted yoast
One thing worth noting is that the SEO I did using Genesis SEO scored 86/100 on Rank Math.

June 26, 2021 at 8:15 am in reply to: Add SEO meta fields block to JetPack Portfolio porjects #504286ACEkinParticipant@anita, I started a ticket at the theme site. By the way, I am not receiving e-mail alerts when a new reply is posted although I have that box checked. My spam folder is also clear.
June 26, 2021 at 6:24 am in reply to: Add SEO meta fields block to JetPack Portfolio porjects #504284ACEkinParticipantThank you, Anita. I will contact them. I thought there might be a generic solution.
Take care,

ACEkinParticipantAlan from WP Engine Support came to the rescue! The problem seems to be caused by a removed function. He suggested that I tried installing the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. I did that and the problems are gone for the time being.
Thank you, Alan,

ACEkinParticipantI am updating this post just in case you follow the link to my site and not find the Studio Pro theme. That did not stay long and I switched to a theme by Mai Themes, Mai Lifestyle Pro. I made the switch towards the end of August 2019 and am quite pleased with the theme.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantThank you very much for pointing this out, Anita. I have added to that support post on the plugin support page.
Thanks again,
CemalACEkinParticipantThank you, Anita. Here is how I can make it happen all the time as I did in the link below:
- Copy the iframe snippet from Google Maps, paste it into the map box
- Save the listing and the map shows
- Copy the newly converted shortcode from the map box and paste it below the map token, update the listing
- The previously working map breaks and converts to visible shortcode but the pasted shortcode will display the map
- The break occurs all the time if after successfully inserting the map the listing is updated. That causes the break without exception on this site
I have disabled several plugins with no change in this behavior. Since the shortcode manually inserted works and does not break, I conclude the problem lies in the AgenPress Listings plugin which makes and breaks the map display somehow.
I appreciate your willingness to look into this problem, thank you.
BTW, I showed the broken and working maps in one listing for your convenience. The code is exactly the same code, one pushed by the plugin the other manually pasted.

April 2, 2019 at 8:01 pm in reply to: Force Genesis Layout Settings strange but welcome behavior #490442ACEkinParticipantOf course, I understand, Victor. I thought you were curious. Today, I installed WordPress on my development domain and using the default WordPress theme there was no Layout Settings option to be activated in the Screen Options panel. Then, I installed StudioPress Parallax Pro theme and the setting appeared. It seems to be theme dependent and some, for an unknown reason, seem to disable that. In any case, I am all set for the time being. I appreciate all the help and advice I get here, thank you all.

March 31, 2019 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Force Genesis Layout Settings strange but welcome behavior #490397ACEkinParticipantHmmm! That is interesting and troubling. I have never had the layout options when I was editing posts and often wondered why. But, since I was using a content-sidebar layout that did not matter much and I left it alone. Now that I am using a narrow width layout I found some of my posts for some reason were showing up with a sidebar and tried to display the layout settings, but nowhere to be found. I thought the code snippet would help but that made everything full width. Upon removing it, I realized the layout settings were there and mistakenly thought it was the result of the snippet add-subtract.
I don't quite know what is going on. Everything else seems to be going OK. If you like to look at the back end out of curiosity I will be glad to give you admin access via an e-mail. If you are so inclined, please send me an e-mail at [email protected] and I will reply to that with admin credentials.
Thank you again,

March 31, 2019 at 6:47 am in reply to: Force Genesis Layout Settings strange but welcome behavior #490380ACEkinParticipantThanks. That was the first place I looked, Victor. Multiple times. The checkbox and Layout Options were not there. It may be a theme dependent feature, I don't know. But I looked those Screen Options multiple times. Until I added, then removed the snippet it was not there. And, I don't know why that is removed from the options anyway.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantThank you, Victor. I understand. I bit the bullet and made the change, maybe after a while, I will switch to another StudioPress theme that is similar to this one.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantThank you, Victor, for pointing out the possibility of direct CSS edit on the theme file. My bad! I should have looked there first, but long-term memory ... I will move the changes to my custom CSS file and I should be good to go.
Appreciate your taking time to look into it for me with a fresh pair of eyes.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantBummer!
Thank you for your help.
ACEkinParticipantReally? I would never have thought that. Why would the widget include a post that it displayed above? I supposed if I used the same widget on the sidebar or more than once on a page that may come in handy. But then, what happens to the sidebar Featured Post widget on other pages? What will it "exclude" that it displayed before because the repetition will not be there?
I do remember using different widgets that behaved in the way I expected. They might even have been StudioPress widgets. Regrettably, I do not remember which ones.
I will tweak the behavior of these two by using categories. But, it will be quite valuable if these widgets coordinated their displays. It will make for a smoother and more beneficial use.
ACEkinParticipantThanks for the suggestion, I have just done that.
Cemal
ACEkinParticipantAdding one more point hoping that it may add more clues. When the window displays the excessive gap at the bottom, I can make it disappear by pressing Ctrl-Plus to zoom in which instantly makes the gap disappear. When I zoom out, all is back to normal. The opposite steps work too, zoom out to fix, zoom in back to normal.
ACEkinParticipantthoitrangmt, I think you summarized the process I have been using. Thanks.
