Wow! That's more than I could have hoped for. Cheers Brad.
The code worked like a charm and the reasoning now makes sense. And thanks also for the references.
Have a beautiful day.
Kind regards
Jasonahoy.hoyParticipantThe theme adds the Fade up effect to the front page sections, through a special class "fadeup-effect".
You'll find the code block which adds this in theme's "front-page.php" file:
genesis_widget_area( 'front-page-2', array(
'before' => '<div class="front-page-2 solid-section"><div class="flexible-widgets widget-area fadeup-effect' . monochrome_widget_area_class( 'front-page-2' ) . '"><div class="wrap">',
'after' => '</div></div></div>',
) );You can remove the class "fadeup-effect" from this block and that effect will be removed.
ahoy.hoyParticipantShould anybody else run into this problem the solution is a follows:
Add
.site-footer {
position: relative;
}to your child theme, and comment out the line
$container.css( 'margin-bottom', $footer.outerHeight() );
in wp-content/themes/monochrome-pro/js/global.js

.front-page-1 {
margin-top: -100px;
}The Monochrome Pro header is now positioned relative and transparent.
December 3, 2017 at 3:21 pm in reply to: Set the Monochrome Pro fixed header to a relative position #214229ahoy.hoyParticipantHey Victor,
Thank you for your swift reply and such an insightful answer. I never considered the relationship of fixed vs. relative as 3D vs. 2D.
With this now in mind, inspecting the elements on https://my.studiopress.com/themes/monochrome/#demo-full, I have combed the z-indexes.
And I reckon the problem is style.css:695
.site-inner {
margin-top: 180px;
}the margin-top: 180px being struck-through. And me not being able to identify the parent!
Could I trouble you further and ask why is should be?
August 12, 2017 at 4:44 am in reply to: Increase the header height and decrease the header image width #210280ahoy.hoyParticipantAnswer:
/* Site Header
--------------------------------------------- */
.header-image .site-header {
padding: 15px 40px;
}/* Site Title and Description
--------------------------------------------- */
.header-image .title-area {
margin: 0;
}ahoy.hoyParticipantYou're a lifesaver! I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much Victor.
