Can you submit a proper ticket, with specifics, so we can pass that on to the devs who will look at any errors.
Not being updated means the date hasn't been changed in the plugins code, that's it. It is working with WordPress4.7 as far as we know, because we use it ourselves.
Please remember this is a community forum - not official support. I just managed to catch this post because it was in Spam.
So file a ticket. 🙂

Andrea RennickMemberWordpress has a built in shortcode for this.
<!--nextpage-->
it works in literally any theme since it goes in your content. Paste where you wish the page to break.

Andrea RennickMemberYou're not expected nor required to update child themes.
The changes are for new installs going forward.

Andrea RennickMember"in in the event updating your theme is necessary."
((% of the time it is not necessary.
Security updates go in Genesis. 99% of child theme updates are styling fixes or organizational changes.
I have never seen any fix that had to be ported back to a customized child theme. Anything that would be that drastic would involve a whole new theme.
(i'm official support so this is the official stance.)

Andrea RennickMemberI thought that if Feast Design release an update, they might release a new styles.css and overwrite my changes.
Even if the original theme was updated, you are never going to get an upgrade notice on your site. Child themes do not do this.
Edit the child theme directly.
On top of that, wp does not support child themes of child themes.
As soon as you edit your own child theme, you now have your own custom child theme.

Andrea RennickMemberAny minor child theme updates you see are minor things like css fixes, or spacing. Things you wont need to port back to your customized child theme.
That is the point of a child theme - to have a place for your custom code.

December 8, 2016 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Demo Site for Genesis Child Theme Including Admin Login #197293Andrea RennickMemberIs there a way to specify that in a responsive situation on a smaller device the positioning should be sidebarLeft at top then content then sidebarRight at bottom?
There are no admin settings for this in any theme or in the framework.
This would be done by modifying code in the child theme itself.
Thus, seeing the admin area will not help for what you're looking for.

Andrea RennickMemberYou don't.
You do not upgrade child themes as that removes your customizations.
Genesis is upgraded with security fixes.
Any time you see us updating child themes it is very minor things that are not expected to be ported back to customized sites. 99% pf the time it is minor css reformatting or fixes for edge cases.
Do not upgrade child themes and do not expect to do so.

Andrea RennickMemberwhen I click on an image, a full width iframe appear and load the demo site.
That is regular html/jwqeury for a pop up iframe. It would load any source URL you wish. You could use any generic tutorial for this.
The demos are on multisite. Each theme has a sub site and is available at specific URLs, as shown in each theme's set up guide.

Andrea RennickMemberFrustrating, because it could mean that we will have manually customize the Outreach Pro style sheet every time the theme is updated. I wish the vendor for this theme had let us know what we were getting into.
As was said earlier, you cannot create a child theme from a child theme. WordPress does not support this. It is not specific to Genesis only.
Child themes do not get upgraded.
Every single official code snippet on our site says to modify the child theme you have - in this case Outreach pro. That is the correct method.

Andrea RennickMember@iiteractive it has no effect on if genesis upgrades on that site or not.
Your client does not have access to our support or the member's area. If they want or need to, then they have to buy.

August 31, 2016 at 8:26 am in reply to: How to Assign Custom Post Class to all posts in a Category #192411Andrea RennickMemberIn WordPress by default, all categories have a custom class assigned by default - the name of the category. No need to add a thing, check the classes on the body tag.

Only Genesis gets upgraded.

August 18, 2016 at 1:23 pm in reply to: I can't log into my dashboard after upgrading to WordPress 4.6 #191551Andrea RennickMemberThe error message you shared, appears when website is updated to latest 4.6 WordPress, but Genesis framework version is older than 2.3.1.
Please check if websites with error have latest Genesis framework version and if it's older one, replace it with a latest copy, downloaded from member's download area at:
You can overwrite files either using FTP software, or if you still have admin area access, from theme section at WP Admin -> Appearance -> Themes (you'll delete old copy of Genesis first and then upload it again). Additionally, you can also contact your hosting support team with latest files, so they can perform the update, for you.
