In the Genesis 3.0 update, your Auto Adsense code should have been automatically added to the Header Scripts box for you so you would not need to add it back. Check Genesis Settings > Header Scripts to make sure you code is there. If not, please post back.

AnitaKeymasterLooks like Nav Extras was finally removed from Genesis Core in the Genesis 3.0 update. StudioPress provided a snippet to add that back for you here.

AnitaKeymasterChild themes do receive updates as needed, but you would never overwrite your child theme. As I mentioned to another participant here recently, you would read the Readme.txt file that comes inside your theme folder to see what changes were made in an updated version of your child theme. Technically, when you take a child theme and you customize it - it's really no longer a version of the original theme. I hope that makes sense. You've now created you own version of that theme. You would need to compare the files, i.e., stylesheet and functions to see what the differences are before implementing the updated version. And instead of modifying the theme files, you could be making all of your changes in custom files, i.e., a custom function plugin or custom css file. This way none of your changes would be overwritten even by accident.

AnitaKeymasterThe current version uses the block editor. You can find the testimonial block when you add that block and yest it does allow for a picture.

AnitaKeymasterAnitaKeymasterThe background on that site is actually placed in the stylesheet manually. Here is the code:
.site-header .wrap { background: url('images/texas-tulips-banner.png'); color: #fff; }
You will need to updated that image in the stylesheet.

AnitaKeymasterThe issue with the naming was when designers changed the theme name in the stylesheet which didn't match the theme name in functions.php.
If you unzip the theme folder, you will see a readme.txt file in there where it lists what was updated in that child theme. From there you can determine whether or not you need to make those changes to your customized version of the child theme.
Most of the StudioPress child themes are being updated for Gutenberg. If you anticipate using Gutenberg then you have a lot of work to do to "update" your customized version.
Keep in mind, once you customize a child theme, technically it is no longer a version of the original child theme. I hope that makes sense.

AnitaKeymasterHave you posted on the Atomic Blocks support page - https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/atomic-blocks/? They would be better suited to assist you with this. Looks like there may be another discussion similar to this there. This is the community forum and the support folks don't visit or monitor over here.

AnitaKeymasterWhat theme are you currently working with and how in what way is it breaking?

AnitaKeymasterThe new Sample is Gutenberg-enabled. Not sure how you update your themes, but you would need to update quite a bit in your theme. You'd probably just want to switch to the newest version all together if you felt that was necessary. If you have downloaded the newest Sample, open up the Readme file to see what was updated.
But your theme would not be updated by upgrading to Genesis 3.0. It's the framework that is being updated. So you can refer to the Changelog to see what changes affect the framework and also see how it might affect your theme, such as templates, style sheets, etc.

AnitaKeymasterGenesis 3.0.1 was just released and the 404.php file was restored. Check out the Changelog for other restored and updated information - https://studiopress.github.io/genesis/changelog/.

June 20, 2019 at 12:18 pm in reply to: custom title with strange background after update to 3.0.0 #491768AnitaKeymasterNo, deactivate the optimizer so you can troubleshoot. That doesn't give you a clear picture of the website when things are optimized. Deactivate then check to see how the site is working. Write back when it's done.

June 20, 2019 at 11:24 am in reply to: custom title with strange background after update to 3.0.0 #491766AnitaKeymasterYou have the SiteGround Optimizer optimizing the styles. I would deactivate that first. What theme are you using there?

AnitaKeymasterAll Genesis themes come with a Changelog in the Readme.txt file inside the theme folder. I believe Authority Pro has been updated to utilize blocks versus widgets. Download the latest version, unzip and read that file. From there you should be able to determine whether or not you would like to change themes.

AnitaKeymasterIf the templates were already "active" when 3.0 was updated, those templates should have been moved into the themes' folder and would remain active. If the templates were not "active" or "in use" at the time of the 3.0 update, the templates were removed and you would need to add them back, i.e., copy the templates from the previous version of Genesis into your theme folder.

AnitaKeymasterStudioPress issued a blog early on announcing upcoming changes back on May 30 - https://studiopress.blog/genesis-3-0-beta/ which indicated that they would be:
Removing all the CSS in the style.css file. Genesis should never be active anyway.
You can see the final changes on the latest Changelog here - https://studiopress.github.io/genesis/changelog/.
Great that you were able to revert back to the previous version of Genesis. I'll watch for an update on this. @pm you may want to report your issue also to Appfinite themes - https://appfinite.com/forums/.
