Okay so now, you need to add this to the bottom of your CSS - this is the CSS for Featured Page 1 widget area:
#featured-page-4 {
width: 300px;
float: right;
}Then we have to adjust the slider. Change this to about 960 for now:
.home-featured {
width: 500px;
}Then, change the SLIDER width to about 525px.
Let's see how that looks.

AnitaKeymasterI did this with another theme. See if it works. Drag another widget into the slider area and set that widget to float right using CSS.
** added this ** drag the first one in there so we can see it and then I can help you with the styling.

#text-3 .social {
img, img a {
border: none;
}

January 25, 2013 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Looking for a Scribble theme image border css expert, please #14866AnitaKeymasterHummmm, it keeps going to a white screen with the word "error" on it on my end. One minute it's there, the next it says error. I've dumped my cache and I can't get it to come up on my end. I'll try again. In the meantime, try adding this to your style sheet. Let me know if it works.
#text-2 .social {
border: none;
}

AnitaKeymasterPlease post a link to your site. You are probably using the Excerpt mode which doesn't provide for a Read More link. If you turn on Content Limit, place a character limit in there, the Read More will show up.

AnitaKeymasterThanks @johnsamwallace, I've been changing the 100% to 98% and it worked for me.
@bill-murray, that area in the slider is one issue. The second issue is the inability to center the header which Nick provided the code for that in a previous forum discussion. There are others on here with issues - just search for Outreach and you'll find them.

AnitaKeymasterOh, here is what's in the featured area:
/** Add the featured image section */
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'minimum_featured_image' );
function minimum_featured_image() {
if ( is_home() ) {
echo '<div id="home-featured"><div class="wrap">';
genesis_widget_area( 'home-slider', array( 'before' => '<div class="home-slider widget-area">', ) );
echo '</div></div>';
}
elseif ( is_singular( array( 'post', 'page' ) ) && has_post_thumbnail() ){
echo '<div id="featured-image">';
echo get_the_post_thumbnail($thumbnail->ID, 'header');
echo '</div>';
}
}

AnitaKeymasterHummmm, now I have two big images on there. The original image and the slider image.
Did I register the slider widget correctly:
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'home-featured', // Feel free to use a more meaningful name here
'name' => __( 'Slider', 'minimum' ),
'description' => __( 'This is a description of my new widget area', 'minimum' ),
) );

AnitaKeymasterI also have had to address this issue here and just posted a new comment about Outreach, the slider and other functions that aren't right - http://www.studiopress.community/topic/outreach-theme-updates/.

AnitaKeymasterThe Demo Outreach theme has been corrected and styled differently that the original file download. Issues in the original file look to be corrected, however there isn't a new download available to us and there are repeat problems being noted on the board. If you look at my LINK to Google cache - you will see that the two versions are totally different. The slider width, white spacing around the slider and the borders around the thumbnail images are different in both versions.
Can someone please address the issue with Outreach? Thank you.

AnitaKeymasterOne more question, what should the slider settings be set at to get the full width like the original image?
Love coffee, chocolate and my Bella!
AnitaKeymasterBy the way, you should start a new thread on this because it has nothing to do with the originators problem.

AnitaKeymasterWell, if you leave it off - or rename it, what will you do when you need it? The better way is to create new fields for the new ones and then exclude the two fields you don't want to show until asked. If you change the current fields - you will only have problems down the road. Let's say today you add in 10 new schools to that field - and then you get two clients who specifically want Square Feet. Now you'll have schools and square footage in the same fields and it won't work right.

AnitaKeymasterYou should be able to create a new one. Go to Listings > Register Taxonomies - and add the Area Schools there.

AnitaKeymasterAre you using the Firebug add-on for Firefox to view the CSS? That should provide you with all the elements you need to change.
Love coffee, chocolate and my Bella!
AnitaKeymasterWell, it would be fine but they need to make sure that it's viewable on all platforms and mobile devices. If they want the video on the ENTRY PAGE, it must be pretty important to them so they should make sure they use the fastest way for it to load. Otherwise, people will click off and never view it.
