The theme documentation in your my.studiopress.com account will help with this. But the home page is built from widgets and adding background images in the theme settings/customizer.

AnitaKeymasterFoodie Pro is a third party theme. They provide support for their themes here - https://feastdesignco.com/support/. Someone may have asked for this before so they may have a solution for you.

February 5, 2020 at 3:23 pm in reply to: disable header / footer / title / on a per-page basis #496482AnitaKeymasterNot necessarily a red flag. Some people may not want the functionality. I know I've never needed what you are looking for. Just because it hasn't been updated in 12 months also doesn't mean it's not a viable solution.

AnitaKeymasterFebruary 5, 2020 at 12:29 pm in reply to: How to Add Extra (new) Widgets to Navigation Pro Theme’s Footer #496468AnitaKeymasterAs I mentioned before, Navigation Pro has been coded completely different than the traditional StudioPress themes. The one Footer Widget has been wrapped with the other two widget areas. That area would need to be deconstructed and rebuilt to add additional widgets.

AnitaKeymasterParallax Pro is configured to be narrow like that for full-width layout - https://demo.studiopress.com/parallax/sample/. You will need to adjust the 200px here. The 200 represents the left and right padding.
To customize the default settings you need to add this to the Additional CSS box.
.full-width-content .content { padding: 0 200px 50px; width: 100%; }

AnitaKeymaster@shmickmick try removing the cart pop up down below. See if it still does it.

February 4, 2020 at 5:21 am in reply to: disable header / footer / title / on a per-page basis #496416AnitaKeymaster@alguevara just a tip, when you answer yourself, you come out of the "No Replies" area which is where a lot of us go to look for posts we feel we can help with. So try not to answer yourself.
You would need to do that manually on a per page/post basis, i.e., code that up in functions. I know Enfold has those settings too.
Here's a plugin I found, but not sure if it has the kind of functionality you're looking for.

February 3, 2020 at 7:53 pm in reply to: How to replace post date on home page posts – Ambiance Pro #496404AnitaKeymasterYou can create a shortcode for the custom field. Then replace the
[post_date]
with your shortcode. There are a couple posts on the web on how to do that. Try Ren's tutorial here - https://www.engagewp.com/create-shortcodes-pull-custom-field-data/.

AnitaKeymasterWell, what I do is ask my clients to give me 3 websites they like and admire. Tell me what they like about them. Then I take that and I go look for a theme. StudioPress themes are just that...the theme. They don't add any other functionality or bloat. They do add styling on WooCommerce and Ninja Forms, but other than that it's up to use to add in all the other things that may be needed based on the features we add such as with plugins. But I look for a theme first based on what I get back from the client.

AnitaKeymasterHi @richardkm! It depends on your project and what your client may be looking for from a design standpoint. I don't think anyone could really tell you which theme to get started with. You can look at the sames page for differences between the two themes. Look at how the inside pages and posts are laid out, image sizes, etc.

February 3, 2020 at 5:46 am in reply to: Experiencing pages (not posts) deleting themselves randomly #496386AnitaKeymasterI would say if this is happening in a "local" environment, check with the program you are using or move your development to a Live server. It would be very difficult to troubleshoot something happening local when it may not be happening if you're on a Live hosting environment. So push it up to a server.

AnitaKeymasterDepending on your shared hosting plan, the file upload size may need to be increased. The best thing to do is contact your hosting provider to increase the memory, upload size and make sure you are running at least PHP 7.2 or 7.3. You may be able to install your theme by using an FTP program like Filezilla or uploading the zip file directly into the themes folder in your File Manager, then using the Unzip function. But only do that if you know what you're doing. Start with your host.

AnitaKeymaster@tsolignani here's a copy from version 2.8 of Genesis. Just put that in your theme folder.

AnitaKeymaster@shmickmick log out and then see what's there. I see the Edit button. It may not display when you're logged out. Without seeing the site, we can't really help you. We cannot view the source of the pages you are working with. Maybe push it to a Live developer site somewhere.
