Changing themes should not remove your Google Analytics code unless you implemented the code directly into the child theme you were using. That method would not be recommended.
I see Monster Insights in that website. I would suggest looking at the plugin to see if it's configured properly.

AnitaKeymaster@rickbryan we really can't provide you with that input based on this statement:
My question is whether I also need another plug-in to make my website look like I want"
We don't know what you want your website to look like so it would be difficult for us to offer any suggestions on additional tools you may need.
Design Palette Pro only offers you a way to change colors, fonts, font sizes, widths. It doesn't provide any particular design changes, i.e., creating a new home page layout. You would simply use the built-in blocks to achieve the look you want or you can use one of the other block plugins like Atomic Blocks, Co-Blocks, Elementor, etc. The page builders you use would be based on what you like about them.
One thing to keep in mind is that Executive Pro has not been technically updated for use with the block editor. Genesis will provide a lot of that functionality for the theme, but there may be some things that do not work out the box using the block editor.

AnitaKeymasterOn the Genesis Changelog for 3.0 Release of June 19, 2019 under "Removed", you will see that they "Removed support for all non-html5 output". As such, if you are using an XHTML theme, you will no longer receive Genesis Framework updates. Your version will remain pre-3.0.
This was also noted in their blog of May 30, 2019 - https://studiopress.blog/genesis-3-0-beta/.
If you haven't signed up for the newsletter, you may want to do that.
So you will be "stuck" at the last version prior to 3.0 and there are a lot of plugins that will require Genesis 3.0 to continue working.

AnitaKeymasterThe demo file is in your theme folder. It only contains the XML file. You will need to follow the Author Pro theme instructions in your my.studiopress.com account to set Author Pro up.

January 3, 2020 at 4:16 pm in reply to: Mai Lifestyle – Seeking alternative for Design Palette Pro #495757AnitaKeymasterI moved this to a new post since the other one is over two years old. The developers of Mai have their own plugins to modify Mai here - https://maitheme.com/products/mai-theme-plugin-pack/.

January 3, 2020 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Trying to remove excerpt from Search Results page only #495756AnitaKeymaster@webmonkey you want to keep the title and the featured image on the search results? I don't have Metro installed anywhere. Sridhar has this post (Method 1). Could you do
is_search
on this so that it pulls the images out of there, and then the CSS would work like it should?

January 2, 2020 at 3:52 pm in reply to: Trying to remove excerpt from Search Results page only #495744AnitaKeymasterTry this:
.search-results div.entry-content, .search-results p.entry-meta { display: none; }
That's removing the excerpt and the entry-meta with the date and leave a comment.
**I updated the code**

AnitaKeymaster@flyinjam This isn't really "theme" support per se. It's block related. You're using an image size "medium" which is 300px x 300px with an image block and it's floating left. So you need to add "custom" CSS at that mobile break point to remove the left float.
.wp-block-image .alignleft { float: none; }
If you use Responsinator as a guide - http://www.responsinator.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vinylchapters.com%2Frobertas-semeniukas-backstage-stories-review%2F, you can see that you will need it on breakpoints 414px or smaller. I recommend adding that CSS to your 480px media query in your stylesheet. However, it looks like it's been removed, so you'll need to add it back.

January 1, 2020 at 6:42 pm in reply to: Primary nav menu not showing up after moving to genesis_before_header area #495733AnitaKeymasterThe code you are adding is

. Thesite-header
on your site issticky or fixed
. Are you saying you want to put a menu above that and remove the sticky/fixed site-header?

AnitaKeymasterThat's great. You should install something like iThemes Security, Sucuri Lite, or Wordfence to secure your site. I helped you once before through my contact form on another blog you have. Happy New Year!

AnitaKeymaster@bizchick200 You need to reinstall Genesis then if they had you exclude files. Looks like you were hacked and several other theme files and plugins were modified by the hacker. You can reinstall Genesis through your hosting provider by logging in to your account, and uploading Genesis via the file manager. Or you can do it via an FTP program.

AnitaKeymasterHi @bizchick200, you said they had you remove 19 files, but what were the other files. StudioPress support does not come to the community forum. You can reach out to them on their contact form, or contact me in my footer link here and I'd be happy to help you. I'm online.

AnitaKeymasterThere shouldn't be a problem. Which PHP 7 version? 7.2, 7.3? Is he getting any additional error messages?
Love coffee, chocolate and my Bella!
AnitaKeymasterSome theme developers have done it this way:
Create a file called:
genesis-changes.php
. Save that in the/inc
folder of the theme. Or create it if you don't have it.Then in functions.php, add this below the line that says
//Load Genesis
which should be loading theinit.php
file.// Genesis Changes include_once( get_stylesheet_directory() . '/inc/genesis-changes.php' );
Try that. Several third-party themes work that way.
That will load whatever you put in the genesis-changes.php file
first
.

AnitaKeymasterDecember 29, 2019 at 10:36 am in reply to: What is the best Social Sharing Plugin for Genesis Themes #495679AnitaKeymasterYou can use any sharing plugin. But you should do your research in the repo to see what features each one provides as all of them do not have the same functions.
