Full width layout does not mean "edge-to-edge" and that's why you see the margins on the side. The content is wrapped to display in a "box" format. Education Pro never had an edge-to-edge version.

AnitaKeymasterIt could be coming from a plugin.

AnitaKeymasterI have moved your inquiry to a new discussion as the post you submitted this on is 5 years old.

November 20, 2019 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Academy Pro: How to add subtitle H3 or description on BLOG and CATEGORY pages #494910AnitaKeymasterNo, it should display if you put content in it. Can you share a link to the category so I can take a look at the page?

November 20, 2019 at 3:16 pm in reply to: Academy Pro: How to add subtitle H3 or description on BLOG and CATEGORY pages #494908AnitaKeymasterIf you go the the category, you will see where you can add Title and Description for each category. You do it on each category. But your title of this posts says sub title H3 - but you should still be able to do that in the description of the category.

AnitaKeymasterWhat do you mean "edit the content"? If you're using a Post Grid it's rendering posts in a grid format. If you want to update the content of a post, you need to open the post. If that's not what you were referring to let me know.

AnitaKeymasterRight, but if you go to Appearance > Widgets you should see all of the available widgets. The customizer view will only show you widget areas that are "in-use". If there are any widgets that are empty, the will not show up in the customizer. It's very confusing.

AnitaKeymasterI am not quite sure that can be done with that because the title, logo and nav are all inside the header/site-header area.

November 19, 2019 at 3:27 pm in reply to: add image and additional headline to front page hero section, Essence Pro #494885AnitaKeymasterNot sure which version of the
sitetheme you are working with, but you might want to use a program like "Sublime Text" which is a code editor to look for code-specific areas you'd like to modify. I use it every day and can really speed up your design.

AnitaKeymasterI guess I am just not getting it. Are you saying "you want" to see the content scrolling "under" the header? Is that the goal? Or "you do not" want it see the content under there when scrolling?

AnitaKeymasterBut what I see there is all white. You would use transparent if there were say an image behind the header and you'd like to remove the color from the header.

AnitaKeymasterI am trying to understand the logic of why you want the
header
to be transparent instead of abackground-color
of white? What is the purpose of the transparency and the opacity so I know how the code should work?

November 19, 2019 at 2:30 pm in reply to: WordPress 5.3: caption are now aligned to the left instead of centre #494876AnitaKeymasterI have had some reports of this pertaining to captions also on the image block too using the block editor. If you experience that issue, you can use this code:
.wp-block-image figcaption { text-align: center; }
*Above code updated to include alignment only.

AnitaKeymasterYou then may need to add the opacity to the ":before" element to do that. You've turned off the site again, so I cannot test anything.

AnitaKeymasterThe code you added does not make it transparent. It's adding an
opacity
to it which is making the logo and text look lighter than what it should. Remove the opacity and it will be normal.

November 19, 2019 at 12:58 pm in reply to: Add blocks to an Altitude Pro widgetised front page #494868AnitaKeymaster@nickgarnett I asked about this in the Genesis group and Bill Erickson provided a tutorial which may help you build "block based widgets" - https://www.billerickson.net/wordpress-gutenberg-block-widget-areas/. Give that a try.

AnitaKeymasterIf you haven't reached out to the theme developer yet and Brad's solution doesn't work for you - Design by Bloom customizes there themes by adding additional code in a file called genesis-changes.php which causes a bit of issues when using code snippets.

AnitaKeymasterLazy Load on the latest update seems to be causing a lot of issues. I've received quite a bit of tickets on my site as well as where I provide theme support and once Lazy load has been deactivated, all was well. Deactivate lazy load, clear your cache and then see if it's there.

November 19, 2019 at 12:49 pm in reply to: Add blocks to an Altitude Pro widgetised front page #494863AnitaKeymasterHi @nickgarnett, unfortunately you cannot mix blocks with the widgets on the home page. You would need to recreate the home page with blocks. What type of content are you trying to add on the home page?
