It sounds like you may have re-named the front-page.php file or you completely removed it.

November 15, 2019 at 4:29 pm in reply to: can Thrive theme plugins be used with StudioPress child themes? #494752AnitaKeymasterI have moved Delio (dpconsulting) November post to it's own since this post is from 2017. I'll close this now.

AnitaKeymasterWhere did you get the "genesis bootstrap" theme from? That's not a theme developed by StudioPress.

AnitaKeymasterI don't work with Elementor so that is a challenge. I'd say go to that one page and check your code to make sure you have some items "closed", i.e., divs, spans, etc. Maybe something isn't closed properly.

AnitaKeymaster@nfabiox85 I asked in our Genesis group and received the following response:
Genesis adds the loading attribute via the WordPress wp_get_attachment_image_attributes filter. Images that are output without that filter running will not gain the loading attribute.
This means that after adding the lazy load code to the theme's functions.php file, the only images that will show the loading="lazy" attribute are featured images. Images that are embedded in single posts and pages will not use lazy loading.
I hope that helps. They are updating the docs.

AnitaKeymasterGo to Settings > Reading. If you have the new home page set for the static page, turn that off.

AnitaKeymasterYou have the widgets set to "Except" instead of "Content Limit". Switch that and you will be all set.

AnitaKeymasterYou don't have Jetpack installed do you?

AnitaKeymasterI think @braddalton might be the better person to answer that since you've used his tutorial. Maybe he will pop over and assist you.

AnitaKeymasterHi @janef, this is the community forum. If Atomic Blocks is not working properly for you, you should post it on the plugin support page - https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/atomic-blocks/. If you think something is missing from the theme, contact StudioPress support - https://www.studiopress.com/contact/.

AnitaKeymasterWhat is the
<div class="the_missing_class">
going to be used for? What purpose is it serving?

AnitaKeymasterWhy didn't you enqueue them in the functions file where the others are added? You can remove the default plugins from loading and add your own.

AnitaKeymaster@neilc looks good, but the footer fonts are a bit too small. I'd take them up to 1.6rem like the others. I try never to go smaller than 16px or 1.6rem as going lower requires readers to increase the browser from 100% to higher and could distort the responsiveness of the website.
Instead of "Click Here" for that remote session, I'd use a button.
Check the footer fonts on this page - https://www.yourtechdept.co.uk/website-development/. Looks like something might not be closed above because the footer fonts aren't loading. Actually even the navigation fonts change too. It's just that one page.

AnitaKeymaster@nfabiox85 they pushed out an update to fix it. Update and you won't need the CSS.

AnitaKeymasterWhat type of custom fonts? Adobe Typekit, fonts from Fonts.com or some other website. Each has their own set of instructions on how to do it.
