Thanks for the feedback! I did go ahead and code it in the .htaccess file - it's very easy to do. Sometimes you really appreciate good plugins, but if they quit supporting them, it really stinks! 🙂
Ann2010MemberThanks Jonathan, I had seen the Yoast plugin but as you said it's premium only now.
I know you can write the redirects in the .htacess file - and the code I've seen looks fairly simple. I think I'm going to try that myself. Following is the code I've seen the most... and I'm going to try to verify that with someone that has done it before I do it.
# BEGIN 301 Redirects Redirect 301 /wp/old-page/ http://www.testdomain.com/wp/new-page/ # END 301 Redirects
All the best,
AnnAnn2010MemberThank you!
Ann2010MemberAfter trying these I don't think they'll work. The link I'm trying to track is done through the functions.php for the child theme. It's to download a PDF file.
I'll keep searching, if anyone knows of anything please let me know.
Thanks,
AnnAnn2010MemberThanks David! I'll check these out!

Ann2010MemberHi Susan,
No I didn't see this, I only had the instructions from when I purchased it. Thank you, I'll do this and I should be working right 🙂
Love the Pretty Darn Cute themes!
All the best,
AnnAnn2010MemberThanks Susan, I will read the setup instructions. I would be changing Executive and Metro if I do change them. Basically will depend on how much work 🙂
Thank you for your quick response.
All the best,
AnnAnn2010MemberThank you both and Susan had the right answer - I must have clicked that by accident myself because I'm the only user and I would never have thought to check that.
I appreciate your time and answers.
All the best,
AnnAnn2010MemberHi Dave,
Sorry I wasn't clear enough on this 🙂 I'm talking about WordPress navigation, where it starts with Dashboard, Posts, Media, Pages, Comments, and then Genesis appears there.
Genesis has disappeared from the WordPress navigation bar completely but it is still installed because the child theme works and of course Genesis is still in the themes panel as well.
I have no idea how or why it disappeared and was hoping maybe someone has had this problem before and would know.
Thanks,
AnnAnn2010MemberJeni, my apologies for not leaving a link and thank you.
Aaron, that took care of it, thank you very much for your time.
All the best,
Ann
Ann2010MemberThank you Anitac!
Have a great day,
Ann
Ann2010MemberDave,
Makes perfect sense now that you explained it. Glad I could give you the brain-teaser! 🙂
Thanks again!
Ann
Ann2010MemberThank you David, that was it. I had thought it might have something to do with that but then it didn't make sense because it didn't show that way on other pages, just the home page. Very odd!
But thank you for your awesome support and help!
Ann
Ann2010MemberThank you both very much for your answer.
I used changing #sidebar and #content and that worked well. Â I didn't try changing the #inner simply because I did the other suggestion and it worked.
I appreciate both of you answering!
All the best,
Ann
Ann2010MemberOne change - I am using the featured top of the home page and regular pages/posts as well.
Thank you,
Ann
Ann2010MemberThanks Nick! I will try the one for Chrome as well. Thanks for the link also and the other information, it is a big help!
All the best,
Ann
Ann2010MemberAlso I tried to change the padding and border under sidebar-alt - but it also changed the right column (primary) and I don't want both changed - just the left sidebar or secondary sidebar.
Thank you.
Ann2010MemberMy apologies for posting the wrong link. It is:
http://www.hormone-imbalance-solutions.com/antiaging-product.html
Actually Nick suggested I post this in the forum as it would be a good topic for it.
And I don't use Firefox because it never works well for me for Firebug.
I know it's in the style.css sheet but I don't know what category it is under.
Thank you,
Ann
