Victor,
Thanks for the advice.
Unfortunately adjusting the width to auto in the media queries has zero effect on mobile.
Even changing the width% from 1% to 1000% seems to affect the layout of the text but it never looks good no matter what I try.
Any other ideas?

Arekeon27MemberPyramid Web,
Awesome, worked like a charm!
I also just specified the page number in my style sheets before the content container to do an individual page.
I appreciate the help!

Arekeon27MemberWell I repaired the database error so the site is functioning fine now but the error on the woocommerce page is there.
It seems like the database error is related to the woocommerce page error.
Does it give hints as to what I have to fix in order to get the error off my woocommerce page?
Arekeon27MemberSo my website recently had a database error and on the repair page the following came up:
The wp_options table is not okay. It is reporting the following error: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed. WordPress will attempt to repair this table…
Failed to repair the wp_options table. Error: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failedWarning: htmlspecialchars() [function.htmlspecialchars]: charset `ANSI_X3.4-1968' not supported, assuming iso-8859-1 in /home/germanwi/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3980
This seems to have directly to do with the error on the woocommerce page.
I did try the debug option but I didn't seem to get much useful information.
Does this spell out the problem more?
Arekeon27MemberVictor,
Thanks, let me give that a try and I will return to update you all.

Arekeon27Memberjengabbard,
Thanks for the feedback! I see your point with the links.
Also when you say more subtle pattern do you mean one that has less detail than the current paper-machete look?
Thanks,
Kevin Ross
Arekeon27MemberThanks Rob!
Arekeon27MemberDave,
Thanks for the explanation. That does help me understand much better. Sounds like I have to re-think my design a little for this child theme or create Frankenstein widgets. I really appreciate the explanation of the theme!

Arekeon27MemberRobG,
Thanks! That did the trick. I was using the developer tool in internet explorer but the default section of the CSS had strike-through in the text so I presumed it wouldn't affect the page. I downloaded firebug and will give it a try.
I did post the website in question: http://theweinreview.com/
I appreciate the help, I know this was basic but it was driving me crazy.
