December 1, 2014 at 9:50 am in reply to: How can you change the font-size range in the tag cloud via functions.php? #133337babreesParticipant
Thanks for this - just what I was looking for, works a treat!
babreesParticipantok, I think it's because there's something in the centric theme that is over-riding it. Guess I'll just have to start a theme from scratch!
babreesParticipantThanks Lauren, but that snippet is already in the front-page. I am using the default front-page of News-Pro.
babreesParticipantThanks, but not quite what I was after. I want featured image thumbnails to show on one specific category/archive only (not on all single posts).
Using what you posted I came up with the following, but it doesn't work. Any ideas?
/** Add Featured Image to Posts - the Webonanza style */
add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'add_thumbnail_archives_specific_category' );
function add_thumbnail_archives_specific_category() {if ( ! is_category( 'blog' ) ) { // enter your category slug here
genesis_image( array( 'size' => 'post-thumbnail', 'attr' => array( 'class' => 'alignright post-image' ) ) );
}October 24, 2014 at 10:44 am in reply to: Column layout went bonkers after using 'regenerate thumbnails' plugin #128981babreesParticipantstrange, I have used that plugin many times with StudioPress and never had a problem. Can't see the problem as your site requires a password.
babreesParticipantPerfect! Thanks Sridhar
babreesParticipantSolved this when I added a new post and uploaded a new image - I found that the new post and image displayed perfectly in the slide show!
So even though I had used the regenerate plugin that didn't work for the slider. I simply deleted the images of the older posts and reuploaded them - voila!
babreesParticipantHi Andre. I'm pretty sure it's not possible with the Genesis Responsive Slider. I personally use Cyclone 2 whenever I want independent slides.
babreesParticipantThank you Susan. I ended up opening a ticket as I needed an answer, although I wasn't sure if they would answer such a query. However, they did and it was resolved.
Sorry, I have only just seen that you can mark forum items as resolved! Now done.
babreesParticipantHi Brad, thanks for changing the name but could you please remove Bramble Bee Farm from your post.
babreesParticipantHi Brad. Thanks but PLEASE, remove "Paul from Bramble Bee Farm" from your post. If you would like a name you can put my name, which is Jill.
I never gave a thought to using .css! I have now done it that way.
Thanks
babreesParticipantHi Brad. Thanks but that's not my problem and I use it all the time. My problem is restricting it to custom post type called Product
babreesParticipantaaahh, I spoke too soon! I see that it didn't work as it has removed it from ALL posts, so I have obviously done it wrong 🙁
babreesParticipantThanks Brad! I struggled with the conditional tag but managed it in the end 😀
BTW, the Studio Press code snippet is incorrect for the latest versions of Genesis.
babreesParticipantThanks Summer. I had heard before that it may not be around for long and I told client that, but he still wants to give it a whirl.
Thanks Brad!
babreesParticipantThanks Summer, but I don't know how to use that like feedburner, so people can subscribe on your site and get sent it by email.
babreesParticipantaaahh, I didn't realise it wouldn't work with custom posts 🙁
Yeah, I didn't really want to use feedburner but don't know of anything else. Do you know of something similar (that's free!) that will auto send out updates of custom posts?
babreesParticipantThanks folks! I had added margin-top which didn't work.
Top works but I put it on line 1312 which is specifically for the primary nav as I will be having a secondary nav too.
Thanks Again!
babreesParticipantyes thank you. Not sure why it didn't work the first time, but suddenly it worked ok!
babreesParticipantFound another hack-a-round to do what I wanted 🙂
