I don't think it would be an issue either way. Whatever you decide, it won't effect any search capability. You're not actually removing the dates but you can hide them.
Personally, I prefer to always hide dates anyway.
babreesParticipantOr, if it's a WordPress page that you want as your home-page then go to Settings > Reading, check the Static Page and then select the page you want for the front page.
babreesParticipantThanks Susan.
It is only two of the boxes - Post/Page and Include/Exclude post ID#
Messing about again with it I managed to get it working by clicking and HOLDING then dragging down to include before releasing mouse hold.
I'll post this on the WP forum for the others, but it would be good if Nick does have a spare minute (;)) to fix
babreesParticipantThis plugin would be exactly what I want, but unfortunately it's not working. The drop down selection boxes in the widget can't be selected and it seems from the WP forum that a number of people have been having this problem for 3 weeks or more. It seems that Nick is not around to help at the moment 🙁
babreesParticipantThanks Brad! I'll give it a whirl!
babreesParticipantPut in a ticket. I found that they had given me two accounts by accident. Opening a ticket they were able to advise me this and I was able to log into the correct account. Whilst it probably isn't the same problem with you I would imagine it is something easily rectifable to the team.
babreesParticipantJust found this older thread.
What I find interesting is when viewing a Genesis responsive theme at http://www.studiopress.com/responsive/ through FireFox the site entered does NOT display correctly and I must use Chrome browser.
However, viewing http://twentytwelvedemo.wordpress.com on the SP responsive test page it shows correctly even in FireFox.
babreesParticipantI realise that this post is reasonable old now and you have probably solved the issue, but I would like to point out that I have just found out that scripts, such as the one at http://www.responsinator.com, will only display correctly if you are using Chrome browser.
Found this out myself after trying to "fix" my sites!!!
So take another look using Chrome.
babreesParticipantI'm not on twitter (hate it but don't have time anyway) and don't come on this new forum much so must be fate that I just happened to come on here this morning!!
Sounds great and I'll be watching with interest!
babreesParticipantoh, just to show you how bad I am with changes; I arrived directly at this page from an email, it then took me about 5 minutes to find out that I have to go to the forum's home page in order to log-in! LOL!
babreesParticipantHey Ronny, glad to hear I'm not the only one that's been struggling (phew!) I'm not against changes that are necessary in order to move forward, I just don't feel that reordering the .css was absolutely necessary.
Unfortunately, due to my disabilities, changes are NOT welcome for me and major changes is more than an uphill struggle.
I have still not got my head around how to change the way I work due to these changes, and not sure that I will be able to 🙁
babreesParticipantThanks John.
Can I ask you how you tend to work then? Do you just decide to work on, say, all the font sizes first instead of working on each div at a time; so in other words, simply work through the style sheet?
I did honestly try to work with it yesterday, but admit to falling back to an old style sheet. However, I do like to try and keep up with the latest things. It's just that as far as I can see it means changing the way I work, which is VERY difficult for me due to my disability.
I'm redoing my site at the mo so it's a good time to consider trying to change!
babreesParticipantThank you! I am still struggling to find my way around the new setup!
Jill
babreesParticipantThanks! Nice and easy!
babreesParticipantI have to say that I don't come to the new forum as much as the old one. Like Susan, I haven't said anything because I was giving it a chance, but admit that I can't see me getting to like it as much as the old forum.
I loved the fact that I could see other people's problems/advice/tips - it gave me ideas as well as helped solve some of my problems without having to ask anybody.
I loved the fact that I could see all my posts at a glance, so I could revisit a question I had to remind me of how to do something.
babreesParticipantThanks for the replies. I could not find an add-on for FireFox 🙁 Searched for resize but it didn't come up with anything.
Doak - there is no Web Tools under Resources tab any more. Yep - I use Firebug 🙂
Have to admit that I have not kept up with responsive designing 🙁
The following is the concerned class in this instance...
div.product div.summary, #content div.product div.summary { float: right; margin-bottom: 2em; width: 48%; }
I can see it is the float right that is causing the problem.
From what netviper says, I gather there is no solution??
TIA
