Thanks for the reply Anita.
Hopefully, that's the only plugin which might stop working on that particular site as the client has no interest in paying for a redesign at the moment.

/** Allow Custom Ordering of category archive page for Band Members */ add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'band_do_query' ); /** Changes the Query before the Loop */ function band_do_query() { if( is_category( array( 'band-members' ) ) ){ global $query_string; query_posts( wp_parse_args( $query_string, array( 'orderby' => 'meta_value_num', 'meta_key' => 'custom-sort-order' , 'order' => 'ASC' ) ) ); } }
blackartzMemberHi Anrdea,
thanks for trying but this doesn't work 🙁I still get the_content displayed on my search results page.
I wonder if its easier for me to change the site to display the excerpt site wide, then specify which category archives should show the content?
blackartzMemberOK solved this myself 🙂
In case anyone is interested, I just needed to turn off the code which denies the use of the
<!–more–>
tag, directly before the wiget area I've added to my new page, then turn it back on again after the widget area.So for each of my new pages I just wrapped the <div> which contains the new widget thus:
<?php global $more; $more = FALSE; ?><!-- allow Read More tag -->
<div id="widget-wrapping">
<?php if (!dynamic_sidebar('Widget Area on New Page')) : ?>
<?php endif; ?>
</div><!-- end #widget-wrapping -->
<?php $more = TRUE; ?><!-- turn off Read More tag -->Obviously the content for lines 2,3,4 and 5 will be different for you, but those first and last lines will allow you to use the read more tag just the way you can on the index and archive pages.
