Okay, I spoke to support and they told me that they cannot help me with this issue.
I must get assistance from here. Really?
So, if this is their policy, I think someone there needs a brick over the head...........September 26, 2014 at 11:32 am in reply to: Mobile responsive layout issues with Header widget #125835chalfantMemberI had to remove the widget because it blocks the Nav bar.
chalfantMemberOkay, I got the genesis extender to work again but I'd still like to know about the search options, thanks
chalfantMemberI'm still having issues- cannot line up the header with a search included.
BTW, should I be using the Genesis or WordPress search widget, does it matter?I bought genesis extender but it's non responsive (contacting support) so maybe there's another issue.
Again, is there anything under the media queries I need to look at, please?
Thanks againchalfantMemberOkay, still cannot get the search widget and custom header together.
One messes with the other.Isn't there something under "media queries" that needs adjustment too?
This has been driving me crazy and there's little online for us noobs that resembles english
Ha Ha!Thanks in advance.....
chalfantMemberBrad,
Thanks mate. I'm trying to adjust these and if I remove the search widget, it's okay.
I know that everything is relative but as I'm trying to alter these nothing positive happens.I'm going to try adding a custom header from Gimp again and see how that goes.
March 23, 2014 at 8:18 am in reply to: EASY WAY- Make your Category pages shine a little with pics #96168chalfantMemberOkay, I told you I wasn't a coder!!
I hope this displays properly, as I had some issues to do with putting pics here.chalfantMemberHi anitac,
Yes, I have and I just NOW figured this all out after 4 months!
In case others what to know how to do this.........Had to add this in functions.php first-
add_filter( 'category_description', 'do_shortcode' );Then place this html in description box-
Works great with that plugin, thanks!
BTW...You do a lot for people here, thank you for that 🙂
chalfantMemberasterbird,
Thank you so much. That worked!
I think this is the code I used before but it crashed my site last week. Now it works.
Go figure.chalfantMemberasterbird,
Thanks for your input. I wish to show when posts have been updated in the post meta.
There's a snippet of code added to the theme function file I used before but lost it in an update.I'm using the Agency Pro theme.
chalfantMemberThank you but I don't wish to use a plugin for this.
I'd like to edit the php file directly.chalfantMemberHi Davinder,
Sorry, should have been clearer......
I want to actually show post meta the original date plus the last updated date too.Thank you though
chalfantMemberYes, extender seems to have a bit more under the hood than Palette pro.
That's the route I'm going now.
Thanks for all the input.chalfantMemberDave,
Thanks for your input.
I may be wrong but feel that Extender may offer a bit more for those willing to dabble in code.
Guess I'll go try and see if there's a demo for Palette Pro.chalfantMemberThank you for that, Davinder.
chalfantMemberWell, awoke this morning and all is well.
Most odd.chalfantMemberOh no. Brad again helping out.....
Is that 6 dinners I owe you now? lol.
Cheers and thanks.chalfantMemberanitac,
Thank you kindly for this.
I'm now trying to get a handle on how to edit files instead (for my category pages) but if this fails I'll upgrade.Hope you and Family have a great holiday; you've helped a lot before 🙂
chalfantMemberHi there Davinder, It only works on posts, not categories.
Unless I'm just missing something. I have tried it though. One would think there would be a fairly simple solution.chalfantMemberI checked with host gator and they want to make sure I wish to change version of php.
Are there any risks in doing this?Still not sure HOW this plugin worked yesterday and not today as the developer didn't change anything.
I just want something to allow me to have different backgrounds on my category posts.
Could there be another option?
Thanks again....... -
