Okay so I figured out a way to do what I was trying to do but can someone tell me if I did this the correct way or if there was an easier way? Basically I went into the theme functions and created an additional color style option named "custom", then I went into the CSS file and put in this code...
/* Lifestyle Custom
------------------------------------------------------------ */body.lifestyle-Custom {
background-color: #FF0000;
}.lifestyle-custom a,
.lifestyle-custom a:visited,
.lifestyle-custom #nav,
.lifestyle-custom #nav li li a:hover,
.lifestyle-custom #nav li li a:active,
.lifestyle-custom #subnav li li a:hover,
.lifestyle-custom #subnav li li a:active,
.lifestyle-custom h1,
.lifestyle-custom h2,
.lifestyle-custom h2 a,
.lifestyle-custom h2 a:visited,
.lifestyle-custom #cat,
.lifestyle-custom .widget_archive select,
.lifestyle-custom .s,
.lifestyle-custom .enews #subbox {
color: #FF0000;
}.lifestyle-custom h2 a:hover {
color: #444;
}.lifestyle-custom div.gform_footer input.button,
.lifestyle-custom .enews #subbutton,
.lifestyle-custom .reply a,
.lifestyle-custom .reply a:visited,
.lifestyle-custom .searchsubmit,
.lifestyle-custom #submit {
background-color: #FF0000;
border: 1px solid #FF0000;
}.lifestyle-custom div.gform_footer input.button:hover,
.lifestyle-custom .enews #subbutton:hover,
.lifestyle-custom .reply a:hover,
.lifestyle-custom .searchsubmit:hover,
.lifestyle-custom #submit:hover {
background-color: #FF0000;
border: 1px solid #FF0000;
}.lifestyle-custom #footer-widgets,
.lifestyle-custom #footer {
background-color: #FF0000;
}Now I can change these color codes to whatever and go into the genesis theme settings, select the color style "custom" and get the results I wanted.
Was there an easier way to accomplish this?
