Okay, here's what I did, though not sure it's the best solution. This causes the blog pages to show full posts and no feature-image thumbnail, but the category pages to show the featured image and just an excerpt.
Genesis theme settings:
Display post content
Include featured image (align left)functions.php:
//* Remove featured post thumbnail remove_action( 'genesis_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_image', 8 );
category.php:
<?php add_filter( 'body_class', 'category_page_body_class' ); function category_page_body_class( $classes ) { $classes[] = 'custom-category'; return $classes; } remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' ); add_action('genesis_loop', 'genesis_standard_loop', 5); add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_content_archive', 'category_page_excerpts' ); function category_page_excerpts( $opt ) { return 'excerpts'; } add_action( 'genesis_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_image', 9 ); genesis();
If anyone has a better solution, let me know. Otherwise I hope this helps someone else!
eefMemberWell, now that I've added footer widgets it's working fine--still confused as to why it wasn't before though! Thanks! 🙂
January 12, 2014 at 11:08 am in reply to: Sticky Menu — Remove when resolution is below 600px #84781eefMemberThanks! I tried display: none yesterday and it worked on my computer but not my phone--so I thought there had to be something I was missing... but today it works, so perhaps just a chaching issue. All set now! Thanks!
eefMemberYea, sorry, somehow I missed the second page of this thread! haha
eefMemberI missed the site being out of maintenance mode, but I'd try re-downloading and re-installing the theme. I just tried installing Minimum and had no problems with it on my site...
January 10, 2014 at 10:37 am in reply to: New Minumum install – no left margin on full-width? #84424eefMemberHey Ash! Does it do this if you install the theme on another site, or is it that site specifically?
eefMemberHi Amy,
Thanks, unfortunately that doesn't take into account different screen resolutions. I've been trying variations of this, but I'd literally have to adjust it for so many screen sizes it would be ridiculous so I'm trying to avoid it. I really need some sort of wrap that will make it start in line with the navigation--since the nav and subnav are wrapped and centered, I just don't know why I can't get this to fall into the same wrap!
