Thank you SOOOOO much! Had spent so many hours looking at it that I couldn't see what it was in plain sight. All fixed, thank you! 🙂
flyingorangeMemberSometimes it just the simplest solution instead of making it too complicated. Thanks for the input!
Now to go get all the media queries in line. Thank you!
flyingorangeMemberHi Dave!
Ignoring the @media-queries because I haven't set those at their final settings yet....
I'm trying to get the desktop setting for the background to be the height and that is where I am not getting it to set at this point. Here's a link to show a screenshot of what I mean. This screenshot from my desktop is 1920x1080 which the media queries won't kick in to cover at this point.
flyingorangeMemberGood to go, thanks for all of your help and input! Actually saved a few of these for some other project ideas.
flyingorangeMemberAnother close one but again is dealing with a section like a header or some piece. Really hoping to find one that just handles the overall background of the site.
flyingorangeMemberPicking your brain here a bit (because it's Monday)
The two links you posted primarily deal with a section of the home page. In the site I am working on, the background isn't a section. It's the background of the entire website, responsive, etc.
So if I am interpreting correctly from the links above, I should use some of the same principals that are being used to make the "slideshow" the overall background vs just a section. Am I correct?
flyingorangeMemberThank you! Definitely late night eyes at work.
flyingorangeMemberInformative and good thanks - however, trying to stick within Genesis and not another plugin installation.
If I don't find a solution through the use of Views, then I will consider this an option. As I said previously, I found a variety of methods online but want to stick with Genesis to create something similar.
flyingorangeMemberIt actually wasn't the CSS not showing. It was trying to get the hooks to work right.
I took a break after messing with it, sat down, coded it and voila worked.Testing on my own server usually doesn't give me CSS issues. I gave up long ago testing on an outside server.
Bad enough when I switch a client over to a new server and can't see the domain resolve right away without doing some backend work on the system to force it.flyingorangeMemberFigured it out - stepped away for 30 minutes and magically worked.
flyingorangeMemberI realize that but the problem is I'm not getting it do what I need it to do.
I need a custom footer outside of the #wrap.
I can get the custom footer or I can remove the footer from the #wrap but I haven't been able to get the two to accomplish at the same time.
flyingorangeMemberPerfect! Didn't even think of that - thank you!
flyingorangeMemberAnd to clarify, on this "Page" they want the 5-10 Most recent posts from a variety of categories, not just one category.
