yes, its resolved thanks,
gatormanMemberOk this is what I did. I made a post and inserted an image then copied the code and pasted it into the text box and it worked.
<a href="http://artsewsweet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/z-needle-6.jpg"><img src="http://artsewsweet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/z-needle-6-300x225.jpg" alt="z-needle-6" width="300" height="225" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-44" /></a>
gatormanMemberI am having trouble getting an image to show in a text box in the sidebar. I tried what you have in your post idavinder but it did not work. This is what I have
<img src="http://artsewsweet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/z-needle-6-.jpg" width="200" height="150"/>
It shows a box with a little x in it but no image.
gatormanMemberI tried a 'feature image plugin' and even with that the featured image still does not display to its correct size.
gatormanMemberjust copied and pasted it, did not upload it via http://ftp. where would I do that?
gatormanMemberAs a follow up I would like to say I have a browser window open with php functions file edit window there. so I can still make changes to it. I am afraid to close out of that however as when I open another browser window and try to go to the site I get the error message. this is even after I have put back in the php file an exact copy of what was there before I tired anything.
gatormanMemberyes, I was. so then I tried to just replace what I had taken out but no luck so then I just replaced an exact copy of the entire php file what was there before I started thinking that would take it back to what it was but after I did that I still get the same message.
gatormanMemberok, thanks for your help.
gatormanMemberThanks so much. So put the code in the css file and eliminate the 'you are here' line? I guess that would be what to do?
gatormanMemberok, so I realized why the link was not working. I had typed herf instead of href .
I would still like to know how to delete the words 'You are here" from the breadcrumbs. I have another there from studio press was able to do that by .php file this Fabric theme has no .php file to do that in. Thanks,
gatormanMemberWhen I go to apparence > editor I do not see a choice for visual view.
gatormanMemberAlso I would like to delete the words 'You are here' from the breadcrumbs but can't figure out how to do that either. Thanks,
gatormanMemberThanks. I would also like to know if you can put links in a text box for the sidebar and how to do that.
gatormanMemberThat really has nothing there at all.
gatormanMembergot it, thanks,
gatormanMemberThanks, got it done.
gatormanMemberI got that resolved from help here in another thread. This is what I did.
.widget-area h4 {
color: #ff4040;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
font-weight: bold;
margin: 0 0 15px;
padding: 0;
text-transform: capitalize;
}This forum is so great, especially for a newbie. I have learned a ton in a short period of time. I never even knew how to look and find the code for specfic elements on a page. Now I have seen how to do that and have identified several areas and tweaked them to my taste. Just great fun. The site is still a work in progress and the progress moves at the speed of a glacier but... http://www.belovedesigns.com
gatormanMemberI added the genesis simple edits plugin and resolved the issue.
gatormanMemberThank you so much!
gatormanMemberThanks Susan but I realize I should have made myself more clear. The title I am talking about is at the top of the sidebar and it is now gray and it says 'Meet The Characters'. I changed the font and color of the text in the box but can't see how to chance the title. I am using the Balance theme with Genesis and the text widget simply says 'text'. When I look in the editor I can't find it so I am not sure where to look. Thanks,
