February 10, 2018 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Embedded YouTube Video Works on Desktop, Truncated on Mobile #216403gigtimeParticipant
I wanted to add that the customer wants the video to start at 1:12 so that's why I'm using YouTube's embed code.
gigtimeParticipantWorked like a charm. Thank you, Christina!
gigtimeParticipantFound a solution elsewhere. If anyone is looking this dealing with this same issue, here's what I used to fix it. Adjust as needed for yours. And if you're using that theme, you're very likely to need to adjust the height in multiple sections on the home page.
.front-page-2 > .wrap, .front-page-3 > .wrap, .front-page-4 > .wrap, .front-page-5 > .wrap, .front-page-7 > .wrap { padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; display: table; width: 100%; min-height: 50vh; } .front-page-1 > .wrap { padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; display: table; width: 100%; min-height: 100vh; } .flexible-widget-area > .wrap { padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px;
gigtimeParticipantThis is the space I'm trying to reduce. I'm inspecting code and can't find anything overall that controls padding for all the sections except this:
.flexible-widget-area > .wrap { padding-top: 80px; padding-bottom: 80px; }
But changing those padding numbers doesn't seem to have any effect.
Anyone have any suggestions?
gigtimeParticipantHi William,
I added the snippet to the end of the front page two code in style.css. Leaving it at 0 doesn't reduce the padding. I can try working with percentages and make the section larger but nothing I do reduces it below the current padding so either I'm placing the code in the wrong place or some other piece of code is overriding this code below a certain point. It's driving me nuts because I need to reduce this in several sections.
gigtimeParticipantThanks, William. That code works great if I want to add padding. The problem is I'm trying to reduce it. And using a negative percentage like say...
.front-page-2.flexible-widget-area > .wrap { padding-top: -20% !important; padding-bottom: -20% !important; }
...has zero effect on the padding.
Any other suggestions?
August 2, 2017 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Slider fits page perfectly on Home Page but not on other pages in Executive Pro #209920gigtimeParticipantThanks, Victor. I put in a ticket with them last night and am waiting to hear back. Hopefully, they can get it resolved.
gigtimeParticipantI tried a number of things based on various posts and tutorials I discovered but the only one that worked was adding the line he suggested:
background-size: contain !important;
I did not use the '!important' tag on the size and width lines.
September 21, 2016 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Pagination on Homepage (Index Page) with Foodie Pro Theme #193489gigtimeParticipantI tried that code mod in front-page.php of the Metro theme. It added pagination just fine. The problem was it didn't actually do anything. It just took me to 'page 2' which was the same as the home page. And page 3, etc. It also didn't do pagination in the same format as the rest of the theme like the blog pages. It was just plain text. I'm going to keep experimenting.
gigtimeParticipantDifferent theme but this can work: https://www.itnota.com/add-pagination-genesis-lifestyle-theme-front-page/

gigtimeParticipantThings have changed since the post above from Sandee. Here's an updated tutorial that works with Constant Contact's current code. I just implemented it and it worked fine.
September 8, 2016 at 11:14 am in reply to: Adding Slideshare Icon to Simple Social Icons Plug-in #192830gigtimeParticipantHi Victor,
Thanks for the quick response. In your post example, Snapchat wasn't available in the default set whereas Slideshare is part of Entypo's set. I'm just not clear on if I need to upload it or something else. And from looking at your code, I see that you included
'snapchat' => '',
in the glyphs section. I'm assuming the second half of that refers to the icon but where did you get that? Because I'd have to have a similar reference for Slideshare.Thanks,
Bill
