JamesParticipant
Hi there
yeh that just means your shortcodes aren't being recognized...
there is another way of doing it, let me see if i can dig up the info, as i have done it for a few clients in the past...
JamesParticipantHi there
the No Sidebar theme is unique, there is a tutorial around for adding a sidebar as well
it just depends on your needs.
these 3 here are all good choices if you after that same sort of minimal clean look that the no sidebar theme gives, but these are a little more practical and have a sidebar.

JamesParticipantHi there
try these 3 here, they all have a sidebar but still have that clean minimal look.

JamesParticipantHi Christian
for the slider nav buttons jumping, this can be removed by removing the css transitions for the slider nav
add this to your style.css
.genesis_responsive_slider .flex-control-nav a { transition: none 0s ease 0s ; }
regarding the auto stopping once the user clicks the slider nav, this is just normal.
the slider is assuming the user now wants to control the slider and so it stops the auto rotation.
JamesParticipantHey there
best bet is if you add the tiles to your site, that way i can take a look and give you the css to make it look right.
but i need to actually see it working on your site first.
JamesParticipantHi there
the blog posts need to be posts
but the blog page to display these posts on a page with the page template "blog" as you described above.
so you just need to go in your WordPress dashboard > Posts > Add new and write a post there
then, it should appear on your http://needabusinessidea.com/blog page.
JamesParticipantHi there
there are no ShopSite Genesis themes available that i know of
You would need to look into ShopSite further to see what is required in developing a WordPress site with it.
Woocommerce provides are great Genesis compatible ecommerce solution
or if you want a stand alone shop, i recommend Shopify.

yeh sometimes these things just happen, even though a plugin might get rave reviews doesn't mean it is coded well and can be incompatible with another plugin, version or WordPress or Genesis.
I'm sure there is another one around, try and aim for plugins that have as few settings and options as possible, simple is better when it comes to any plugin. this also keeps your site running faster too.
JamesParticipantHi there
check you have some posts published (not pages)
JamesParticipantHi there
so basically what you could do is remove the post info, and then create a function to build a new post info with your shortcodes.
there is a filter as well for the post info, see below, but not sure if it will be compatible with your new shortcodes though.
JamesParticipantYES I'M INTERESTED !!!!!!
please, please please
have over 6 years experience with Genesis and tens of thousands of hours coding and developing websites.
December 29, 2015 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Modern Studio Pro – add "BLOG" heading to Blog Posts Page #175113JamesParticipantHi Clifford
yep, that was the second option i suggested, adding it in conditionally using a custom function.
clad you worked it out!
December 29, 2015 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Modern Studio Pro – add "BLOG" heading to Blog Posts Page #175111JamesParticipantHi there
Genesis does not show a page title on the blog page template, this is because it is using the blog page template which overrides the default page template.
the only way to add one is using the method i described above or, but creating a custom function to add your own hard coded blog title in conditionally.
the method i described above is the best and easiest way.
December 29, 2015 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Add atmosphere pro front page design to other pages #175110JamesParticipantHi Chris
Yeh the Atmosphere Pro theme only has the big header image on the front page template.
to create this same effect for the inner pages would require a lot of custom development, way beyond the scope of this forum.
However as soon as i get a chance i'll be happy to write up a tutorial on how to do it, that way others can learn as well.
JamesParticipantHi there Jess
Did you actually add the above css tweak to your style.css (around line 1289) just set the padding to 0
or did you try adding it some other way.
For the header right widget, in your themes functions.php file
there should be this
//* Unregister the header right widget area unregister_sidebar( 'header-right' );
echo that out by putting some forward slashes in front of it like so
//* Unregister the header right widget area //unregister_sidebar( 'header-right' );
this will give you your header right widget area back, you'll see it under widgets in your WordPress dashboard
but your still going to need to style that, as well as move the logo to the left.
JamesParticipantNo problem at all
Your more than welcome to contact me anytime
if you have any theme issues, try and post on the forum here when you can, that way others can learn as well.
🙂
