For Minimum Pro I think you'll just need to add this little bit of code to the functions php a couple lines above your last edit
if ( is_page() && !is_front_page() ) { return; }
right below this line
//* Add the site tagline section add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'minimum_site_tagline' ); function minimum_site_tagline() {
so that it will look like this
//* Add the site tagline section add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'minimum_site_tagline' ); function minimum_site_tagline() { if ( is_page() && !is_front_page() ) { return; }
loudiversMemberI think you will need to make the edit in the functions.php
look for this line
printf( '<p %s>%s</p>', genesis_attr( 'site-description' ), esc_html( get_bloginfo( 'description' ) ) );
and change it to this
printf( '<h2 %s>%s</h2>', genesis_attr( 'site-description' ), esc_html( get_bloginfo( 'description' ) ) );
hope this works.
March 31, 2014 at 3:29 am in reply to: Changing the custom Header Size in Executive Pro Theme #97587loudiversMemberyou may need to edit the size of the header widget area by looking for something like this in your style.css
.site-header .widget-area { float: right; text-align: right; width: 800px; }
try using firebug or something similar to help you find what needs edited
March 31, 2014 at 3:21 am in reply to: Changing the custom Header Size in Executive Pro Theme #97585loudiversMemberyou may also need to find this line in your style.css and edit it
.title-area { float: left; padding: 18px 0; width: 320px; }
March 31, 2014 at 3:19 am in reply to: Changing the custom Header Size in Executive Pro Theme #97584loudiversMemberTry to find this in your function.php
//* Add support for custom header add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array( 'width' => 320, 'height' => 60, 'header-selector' => '.site-title a', 'header-text' => false ) );
you should be able to edit your size here.
loudiversMemberyep, whenever I go to edit or create a new post or even the cpt that I defined i can select a post format. I pasted the code into my functions.php in the directory for minimum pro. this is exactly what I have pasted -
//* Add support for post formats add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array( 'aside', 'audio', 'chat', 'gallery', 'image', 'link', 'quote', 'status', 'video' ) ); //* add post-formats to cpt 'services' add_post_type_support ( 'services', 'post-formats' );
thanks for taking the time to help out : )
loudiversMemberThanks, I've already done all of this with no luck. You have a lot of good tutorials on your website btw. Is there anything that needs added to the loop? After adding css for the post formats and refreshing the browser nothing happens. If I bust out firebug I can't even find the css...
loudiversMemberI used the snippet from studiopress http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-formats/. I don't have a link, I am working locally. I can choose the post format it just doesn't do anything
loudiversMemberyou're welcome. glad it worked
loudiversMemberfind this on line 1099 of style.css
.genesis-nav-menu {
and add this
background-color: #036FB4;
loudiversMemberopen your style sheet in a text editor like textwrangler and go to line 1882 and edit the code that RobG gave you or install jet pack, turn on custom css and add the code that RobG gave you and edit the text color as he suggested.
