Hi Lauren,
What a fantastic plugin, I had never used it before. Thanks so much for the pointer. I managed to get it sorted out 🙂
lyndsaymoonMemberI have found a code that has worked now but has left the original comments form at bottom, so have started a new thread about that as it's a slightly different subject.
Thanks.
lyndsaymoonMemberHi Dave,
I totally get where your coming from!!
Thanks so much for all your help, I really appreciate it 🙂
lyndsaymoonMemberMy Customer has now come back and said…
"Could you put the e mail box back in but put (optional)"
Is it an option, to have an optional email address field?
Thanks.
lyndsaymoonMemberOh OK.
I haven't done that before, so see if this works...
My Functions file is here: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/02fc92d2ddb50450e342
I just want to put the comments reply field before the comments left.
lyndsaymoonMemberHi David,
Thanks so much for your help with this it worked a treat! 🙂
I have cautioned her, but it's going to be an anonymous form for replies to go live straight away. I have added captcha to try and help.
lyndsaymoonMemberHi Dave,
Thank you so much. Yep makes me want to eat ice cream too but it's raining and cold here 🙁
Lyndsay 🙂
lyndsaymoonMemberSolved! I found that if I clicked "Display Post Content" instead of "Display Post Excerpt" in the Slider Settings and limited the characters that's when the slider only shows some text!
lyndsaymoonMemberHello Eli,
Thank you so much for your in-depth answer, it was just what I was looking for and you have help alot. I have been reading alot more since placing the post above and think I'll prob make themes from my own css and functions and a couple of page layouts added in.
Have just also seen your "How to Build Your First Genesis Child Theme" on your site so that, with others I have read through, are helping to fill some gaps I have.
The affiliates sounds like a great idea, so I'll be sure to join that 🙂
Thanks again.
lyndsaymoonMemberHi Landon,
Lovely website, it's very cool and your customer should be chuffed.
What theme did you make it from?
lyndsaymoonMemberJust read your post Daveerin and felt the same, too good to be true! Glad I found your thread and the answer. Please post anything else you find please as I'd appreciate the help and I'll do the same.
I did just ask pretty much the same question on another thread here http://www.studiopress.community/topic/where-to-start-2/
lyndsaymoonMemberHello!
Just read this thread and wanted to ask more as I am confused (and probably a bit over excited about the possibilities!).
I would love to start making child themes and selling them, I have lot's of ideas and love working with css. But exactly what documents are required in selling a child theme, is it just the functions.php and the style.css and the Genesis framework? Would I rely on the Genesis framework setting up the layouts?
It seems to me that there are lot's of plugins to add functions onto a Genesis theme (as per all themes), so if I made a child theme, would I say you have to have "X" plugins to go with this theme and make it work? I'd feel like I have cheated a little.
I have gone though a lot of tutorials now and feel like I have missed a huge chunk of important information. So your advice on this would be very much appreciated.
Thanks 🙂
