Thank you! I appreciate the heads up on the resizing issue as well. Weird....
mrsnoormanMemberMy macbook is giving me the size. I loaded a new one that is 99x300 pixels -- same problem. I had cropped the background out of the first graphic to try and solve the problem. It doesn't seem to matter. 🙁
mrsnoormanMemberI don't have the Executive Pro theme, so I wasn't able to see the setup instructions. But I searched and found a youtube video that showed how to set up the Executive theme. Now my slider is set up using pages. Thanks! I still need to fill in the other widget areas.
Question: If I have no posts, will the post's "Sorry, no content matched your criteria," go away once I have the widget areas filled?
I appreciate your help!
mrsnoormanMemberAdding:
#CDSWIDCOE {
margin: 0px auto !important;
}worked! Thank you both so much for being willing to help! 🙂
The StudioPress forum community is awesome!
mrsnoormanMemberThanks for the suggestions, I will try them and let you know how it goes. 🙂
mrsnoormanMemberSorry, forgot to mention that I am using the Agency Pro theme.
September 18, 2013 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Genesis/Education No primary/But secondary sidebar/full width #63293mrsnoormanMemberI too am looking to get rid of the primary sidebar while keeping the secondary. I looked at the tutorial, but I am not a techie. I was able to name a special-page body class and look at my page source, but I don't know how to add
.special-page #sidebar {display: none;}
.special-page #content {width: 85%;}
to the CSS. Can someone explain where I find the CSS?
I appreciate the help!JeanneNoorman.com
mrsnoormanMemberThank you Dave. I found the specific coding and just changed the widths to the ones you had suggested. And it worked! 🙂 Thank you so much!
The drop down menus seem to be working in the tabs too!
So, do you know anything about using the sliders in the homepage? I have a forum question on that as well. Titled Education Homepage.
I had a wordpress site with a static homepage before I purchased Education. Because of that, when I uploaded Education it defaulted to the static homepage without the sliders. Any hints on how to put them up?
Thanks again!
And Charlie, I wish you the best of luck!
Blessings to both of you!
JeannemrsnoormanMemberRats! But thanks Andrea. 🙂
So, what will happen if I unclick the static page as home page box? Can I even do that?
I had a wordpress site before I purchased Education, and I think the static page as homepage was in place before I loaded the theme.
mrsnoormanMemberAlright guys, I changed the number of tabs to just 3 and the problem still exists. Now what? www.jeannenoorman.com (And yes, my name is completely there when I remove the tabs.)
Dave, I have some very basic html knowledge, but don't have a clue where to put the code you suggested. That is why I purchased Genesis and Education.
Would this be something to put in a help ticket for? (Not sure how that works either.)
Thanks,
Jeanne
mrsnoormanMemberThanks Charlie, I am hoping someone can help. Getting the Tabs into the Header was easy for me. I just followed the Education theme instructions from http://my.studiopress.com/setup/education-theme/.
My problem is that my page is titled "Jeanne Noorman" and when I have the tabs in the header, the last part of my name disappears. My site is http://jeannenoorman.com/. I've left the tabs in the header now, so anyone helping can see it, but I can't leave the site like that long term.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Jeanne NoormanmrsnoormanMemberI know this was from a couple of weeks ago, but I am having trouble with my header menu tabs as well. I can get them into the header, but when I do part of my header text is blocked (not by the tabs). Any suggestions?
