I sent a request to support about this and other StudioPress plugins that have "been abandoned". I brought up the issue that Genesis may have moved on to Gutenberg blocks, but many clients can't afford to update their sites that are working perfectly fine with the classic editor and widgets. It would be nice if someone at StudioPress would just test these and update the "tested up to" section on WP.org as they are working fine - so the warnings would stop.
mssbeeParticipantI see. Try this:
.nav-secondary { position: fixed; width: 100%; z-index: 1000; } .site-header { position: fixed; width: 100%; z-index: 999; padding-top: the height of your navbar px; }
I didn't have to adjust the bumper; however, you may need to fine tune that ccs property also. You may also need to fine tune the mobile versions.
mssbeeParticipantThe site you liked has changed the width of the site header widget area on line #1123 of the style.css to 1280px which forces the menu placed in the header right widget are to move below the logo.
.site-header .widget-area {
color: #fff;
float: right;
padding-top: 10px;
text-align: right;
width: 1280px;
}mssbeeParticipantThanks, that makes sense. I tried another child theme and the Header section was back. I really appreciate your prompt reply to my question.
mssbeeParticipantThanks for the tip about Genesis Sandbox - looks like a great framework to build themes. I wonder why the "hamburger menu" hasn't just been adopted in the resent Genesis 2.0 update? I don't know why anyone would the menu to take up so much room on a mobile device when using a responsive theme. I can see it with mobile only hand picked buttons - but, not with responsive.
