I dont think it matters if you have a .ca or a .com, what matters is the authority of the domains. If you have a bunch of domains with no authority, it doesn't really help you in SEO. I prefer to focus on the domain I want to rank and build backlinks and content to it.
netviperMemberLike Bill said, they key is to having unique content on each site. If it is strictly duplicate content, you are just hurting the main site. There are a lot of companies out there still doing similar things with Link Wheels. Google doesnt like those anymore, so I would avoid that.
netviperMemberHi Jen,
Thanks for the tip. It still didn't work however. 🙁 The left side is all stuck against the screen in portrait on the ipad. I think I will just use a non-responsive theme for this one. I am on a time crunch.
netviperMemberI am going to for sure need better help moving that funtion. Should I open a ticket?
netviperMemberWouldn't it still be in the wrap and stuck at 1140px?
netviperMemberIt is well worth it on the time you send moving a site from a test server to a live server. Amazing.
netviperMemberThat fixed it. You rock!
netviperMemberThanks Jen. That didn't seem to do anything. I think it is a responsive issue that IE8 doesn't like.
IMG {
max-width:100%
}
If I clear that line it looks right. I am thinking I just need to put an IE8 hack that removes that line. What do you think?netviperMembernetviperMemberNobody?
netviperMemberWell I am glad to see I am not alone. I think we all want the best for Genesis and this seems like a step in the wrong direction.
netviperMemberThanks Nick. Just had a call, now they need magento. Are you good with it? need any business?
netviperMemberHi Jill,
If you use firefox, there is now a responsive design view that lets you test different sizes. I have been using it a lot. And yes, there are issues in the different sizes, especially with product images.
netviperMemberYes, it is a jewelry store. They need a gift registry. They have one now that doesn't work. So I am looking for a better solution for them, but there isn't much out there.
netviperMemberGreat find Nick. Thanks.
netviperMemberHey Nick,
i would be happy to work with you on some ideas that could help the community.
netviperMemberSeveral replies. Thanks. Still haven't found a PHP person.
netviperMemberso you have to change the folder name to change it in view source.
netviperMemberI have seen the studiopress.tv. Its a great start. I would like to see something more advanced.
netviperMemberSo just renaming it in the CSS file will change the name when you view source? And it will not cause anything to break.
